If you knew owt about the history of the region and how its football club came to be the manifestation of its cultural and national identity you wouldn't be so quick to post the expletives.

Hope this helps.

:)
Not really mate. If anything, it was kind of irritating because you were quite high-handed about it. I prefer my football clubs to be favoured by facist generals tbh and Barca-Madrid is just a Celtic-Rangers with tapas, culturally speaking.

No mate he's right. It's a bit more than the Auld firm that you suggest. It's that area of Spain's national team, but this isn't the thread for it, so leave it there please.

Anyway, the press are patronising towards us mostly, so don't bother with them.

Might be a push for him to go if we underachieve next season and get dumped out of Champions League at the semis and only finish 2nd.

He doesn't seem the type to walk away from a job after just a year or two, but then I don't actually know him, so couldn't say for sure.

I just hope the money situation at Everton doesn't grind him down.

Turning down liverpool is all you need to know about Roberto if he wanted all the bells and whistles of a big spending global circus he would have joined them.

He stated he wants to build on his terms with a direct line to the chairman no anonymous bureaucratic board or absentee foreign owners mad as a box of frogs for him.
He can see it's just a merry go round at Madrid, Barca, City, Chelsea etc far better 6 years here at decent wages successfully building than 18 months top money at the others before being chewed up and spat out like the lad at Utd.

Plus it's all here in footballing terms the passion and support is a match for anyone. If the miracle happens and money finds it's way into the club he's cracked it, EFC would be the next big thing and all the others could go swivel.

Chelsea have loads of history. What I don't think Martinez would appreciate is the 'win the league or you're fired' pressure that would come with that job.

Sky history you mean. Chelsea were a yo yo team, granted they had some good players along the way, and the odd good team, but they were not a force until some mad Russian turned up and decided to ruin modern day football
