Martinez Won't Leave.... Right?

I think the Arsenal job IS tailor made for him. But I can see Arsenal wanting to see Martinez prove himself a little more than he has so far. They dont want to do 'a United' and employ a man utterly out of his depth.

I think Martinez likes a challenge. At Everton he has inherited a decent team but has limited finances. He can show off his management skills at Everton as a challenge to himself. Wigan and Swansea were unrealistic challenges. At Spurs, Arsenal I feel he will feel his skills will be undermined if he is able to splash £30m on a number of players therefore nullifying or having his skills questioned. Out of the top seven teams Everton requires the biggest challenge whereas the others can have fingers pointed at them with regard to the millions available making managerial skills less prominent.

Would he leave for Arsenal? No.

Would he leave for someone like Barcelona? Probably.

After reading his plans, and seeing how bloody invested he is into club i think the only reason he'd leave us at this stage would be if an incredible job and opportunity presented itself such as Barcelona. He'll be here for 3 seasons at least.

Things that go in our favour is that he's settled in the north west, and has been for many a year, he has a young family so why uproot them. Now? No

in 10 years, if keeps progressing the way he his, then there is a possibility one of the big boys take a punt on him. And by big boys you're talking barca, not arsenal.

Martinez strikes me as a man of dignity, he wants to be known and Everton is the perfect for him. A huge club, with a massive fan base, thats been a sleep for a while. He's already woken us up, the next phase is were it could possibly get exciting for us.

I've said it before that the man has major ambitions for this club of ours. He won't be going anywhere until there's some more trophies in the cabinet and we're in a position of constant competing with the 'big teams'. Allez Allez Ohhhh!

I think he rather likes the feel of a great old club with history. For that reason, if he ever left us I could only see him going to Arsenal or Man U in this country, both of which are huge clubs with history and tradition. I doubt that the modern money of a Chelsea would tempt him. If not, then a big club in Spain....Barcelon, Real or Athletico.

Chelsea have loads of history. What I don't think Martinez would appreciate is the 'win the league or you're fired' pressure that would come with that job.

Arsenal are capable of being as big as barca with the right management. But bobby will give us at least 3/4 years yet IMO.

Course he will leave, dunno when like.

All good things come to and end.
