Martinez Won't Leave.... Right?

Every club has the potential to be 'bigger'. Every manager has the potential to be successful. The point I was making is that Arsenal will NEVER be as big as Barca.

Ever.

Regardless of imaginary future successes, they really are light years behind Barca and will continue to be. It's just the way it is.
Chances are they won't. But you never know.

There is this weird perception that we are at the level of Crystal Palace in comparison to Arsenal. Say we get the financing together to build a new stadium and get a couple of runs in the CL over the next few years, why would Martinez go to Arsenal. Arsenal fans are going around thinking it's a given that they can hand pick their next manager. Sure they had a great team for a few seasons 10 years ago but they're not much closer to footballs top table than us.

On the pitch we may be close but financially arsenal are light years ahead of us and will be for the foreseeable future

Yea, that might be true but look at Arsenal before Wenger or United before Ferguson. I get that it was a different time but Martinez has gone Swansea - Wigan - Everton. We can hopefully provide him with the platform to build something great here, something he would only leave for Barca, which I believe he will, in about 5 or 6 years.

Turned down Liverpool, who despite my grand dislike for Liverpool, are an equally big club as arsenal, because he felt the timing wasn't right.

That was at struggling Wigan, and well now he's on the cusp of something extraordinaire at Us, why leave?

We love Bobby

I heard that he was going to manage Barca, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid at the same time.

Yeah, he's that good.

No, he's not going anywhere.

If he matches what Kendall did at the club then he will deserve the Barca job in years to come, and i'd wish him all the best when he did, over to you Roberto, go get them trophies lad

Roberto's wife?

Is she English or is she Spanish?

Roberto has lived here a long time and seems quite Anglicised.

Maybe his wife wouldn't like a move abroad.

Would you prefer if we were out the CL race but playing in the Cup semi final on Saturday or Sunday?

I am starting to like this 4th Place Trophy mallarkey.

It's like a Cup Final every week :)
