Martinez Won't Leave.... Right?

Moyes got a bigger job and Martinez has a better cv than Moyes did.

Well not really. Moyes qualified for the CL and the Europa multiple times. And he had Sir Alex in corner, that's the only reason he got that job.

Regardless, RM isn't going anywhere this summer.

A lot of that is timing, though.

In 1989 Man U and barca simply weren't at that level, now they both are cos they took advantage of the money train.

While Ajax, who were up there, have dropped off.

Things do change.
even in 1989 Utd and Barca still had the enormous fanbase, hence the opportunity to capitalise on the massive injection of cash, which was gobbled up by both.

The fans were there, just not the means to exploit 'them' to their full potential.

And then the CL and EPL gave them both a platform to do just that.

very few clubs will EVER attain the status of Barca.

Real, Man Utd, Bayern, the sh1te, AC Milan and Juve are leagues ahead of pretty much every other club in the world when it comes to size, fanbase etc.

Arsenal are admittedly one of the biggest of the rest, but they remain light years behind those 'elite' global superbrands.
So if for arguments sake they won the quadruple for the next 10 years running you think it would be impossible for them to acquire that kind of status still?

If they won the quadruple 4 years running they would be one of the most successful clubs in the world not necessarily one of the biggest

Eh, Martinez has qualified his team for europe in both of the last two seasons.

Winning the fa Cup with wigan and then racking up as many points with everton as he has done is impressive as hell.

He'll stay here, but it won't be because noone else wants him.

Stayed loyal to a Wigan side that flirted with relegation every season when Clubs like Liverpool and Aston Villa came in for him. He's at a bigger and better Club, he has absolutely no reason to leave, not that he's in a rush too either, because he really isnt.

Oh I didn't say no one would want him. I just don't think he would be Arsenal's first choice like the papers think.

As usual I could be wrong.

And neither does arrogantly trying to belittle others opinions without justifying your own...
But don't you think it's a bit naive to assume that a clubs status is fixed??
stating fact is not being arrogant.

and I'm not assuming anything.

Globally, Barca Man Utd et al are light years ahead of anybody else.
For Arsenal to achieve this kind of following would require a monumental shift in peoples choice of club.

Is laughing at someone's opinion not arrogant either? Or refusing to respond to arguments because they are "drivel"?

You're assuming that arsenal could never become as big as Barca.

Arsenal are one of the most successful clubs in this country, they have one of the best stadiums in the country, they are the biggest club in London, one of the major cities in Europe. They also have a successful youth set up and one of the biggest budgets in world football. If a new manager brought success to them there really isn't a limit to how big they could grow.
