Martinez wants to sell

Very interesting comments from Neil Warnock this morning on Talksport.

He doesn't think that Roberto will be overly concerned at losing Baines and Fellaini, he said something along the lines of how well he could do in the market with some money at his disposal.

He actually used the words "with Roberto's contacts in the foreign market" he certainly won't just be looking at this as a negative.

After reading his latest interview along with his previous recent ones, I'm 100% convinced that he wants to sell Fellaini.

He keeps referring to valuations, meeting them and having to think once the valuation is met.

It's basically saying pay the valuation and he's yours. It's see through.

He obviously has a replacement lined up and is desperate to land him. My personal opinion of course.

It's the only way to go. It's so obvious Fellaini is seeing red.

By the time a deal goes through and money is available, the window will nearly be shut!

I don't agree with that at all, Fellaini will play well for us with it being World Cup year. Can't see him sulking at all, and I have no idea why people think this to be honest?

Plus, McCarthy is not fit to lace his boots.

He might not necessarily sulk but he may be a bit demotivated and might start being a bit more proactive about getting his move in january.................not saying this is definitely the case but its a possibility that needs to be factored in for martinez

The lad has had one foot out the door for about 3 seasons now, always comes across as open to "better offers", not to mention his old man yapping on (although he's been told pipe down recently).

Isn't Barkley already in the process of replacing his position? He's as good as made the transition to first team now and Gibson is the best defensive mid. All in all we are in a pretty good position to cash in on Fellaini now and probably should.

Baines though, no he should not be for sale at all.

On the point of Mcarthy not being all that
based on no interest elsewhere - what
does that say about Felli and Baines?

Only Moyes has approached ergo they must be complete leathers worth 5 quid a piece!!

(btw I know nothing about Mcarthy he may well be poo)

You dont really need me to explain the difference here do you?

I have got past taking people on the internets opinions about players seriously.

It's only the managers that count, so if Martinez thinks he has potential and is worth 10m then I am not really arsed, it isn't my money.

They will get some right, some wrong, such is life.

The way some act on here, you would think they made a living in the game with their expertise.

Kinda the point of a forum to pass opinions though isnt it.

felli's been here what 5 years ??? we've still won nowt so if it's his time to move on then let it be, only for a good price of course
...

Don't be so hard on yourself, we were 89 minutes away from lifting the F.A Cup at Wembley 4 years ago...

If he turned round and said he is not for sale at any price then a week later sold him he'd look a prat. Every player has a price, if the valuation the club have for that player is met he will be sold. Simple as that, no hidden agendas or smokescreens.

I hope he stays but expect him to go.

To be honest mate, not many people outside of Everton ( fans wise ) rate Felli very highly ...or Baines even by a fair few.... we rate them higher as their worth to us is much much more.

Fans who've bothered to watch him & actually know what they're talking about rate him highly in my experience. You can't take the opinion of internet whoppers, who've based their judgement on the size of his hair & Lawro pointing out his elbows on MOTD ffs.

& anyone who doesn't rate Baines, shouldn't be talking about football full stop, as they're patently clueless.

Completely your choice.

Doesn't get past the fact though that having not been the first time I have read or heard this, it seems Martinez is thought to have some good contacts in the game abroad, something which is certainly a welcome addition to the party.
