I think that's unfair on Fellaini.
After 5 years at the same job you start thinking about moving on, going to a higher level, getting a higher paycheck, etc etc, and while its true that in the past Felli's father has been the booming voicebox bellowing for a transfer, Fellaini has always treated Everton with respect and appreciation and often passion.
Yes he's had his lazy careless games, but I don't think its out of a lack of appreciation for the blue shirt- more likely him not being able to be fully focused for every game in the calendar.
Having said this he has behaved brilliantly this transfer season. He's played every preseason game bar one, and last week's game too, he hasn't made any statements to the media or caused a fuss.
That's where Martinez's comments about United's behaviour really ring true--- this distraction isn't fair on a player like Fellaini. If they're interested in him then talk seriously in terms of his real value. Right now Fellaini is sitting there knowing that there is interest but they're not toying with him.
Everton know that if an offer of a high enough value comes in they will have to sell Fellaini, probably because he's itching to play at the highest level. But they don't want to sell him- Martinez made that clear. But so long as these piisslow offers come in its a detriment to the team. And in light of this I think Felli has conducted himself professionally and maturely unlike many other players around in the league.
