Martinez - Thoughts So Far?

1st game - Spawny goals against us.

2nd game - Team parked the bus, couldn't break them down.

3rd game - On top completely, lacked decisions and cutting edge.

Overall - We lack cutting edge/final pass/striker.

Sums it up to a tee for me this!.

Thought as the game went on we got better and played well but were just not decisive enough in final third!. We seriously lack a cutting edge and are decision making at times isn't good enough. We hold on to the ball for a pass too long or don't cross it when it needs a cross, there's no one else apart from Barkley really that's prepared to take a shot on from 20 yards or more out.

I don't know what weve got within the squad that is gonna change are fortunes ATM. Maybe Gibbo might as he can spot and pick a pass quicker than the likes of Felli and Osman and he might get attacks going sooner so weve got a situation where we have 3/4 vs. 3/4 and we can try and make summat of that?!.

But it certainly seems we haven't got the money to go out and buy that attacking quality in unless we sell, and then it's debatable wether Martinez is even looking at creative, attacking options IF we sold to buy?!.

Play is positive, just working out kinks. Too flat across the pitch when we've got pressure on. For as much style change as we've gone through, I was expecting less, TBH. Stuff to work on but it's mostly positive changes and not panic shizzle.

you were expecting less than three draws against sides we should be comfortably beating?

We had a manager for 11 years that takes some time to change and put in a different system. Rome wasnt built in a day.

Even kopites didnt give Brenda as hard a time as some of you lot when they were bottom last year.

These things take time and I have seen progress in each of the three games.

He needs to stop taking a striker off for a striker when we're playing poor opposition. Until we get replacements for Distin, Osman, Jelavic we wont go anywere.

Jelavic stank the place out. Of course it was the right decision to take him off.

Difference is that Moyes didnt inherit the squad Martinez has, i do agree it takes time for new ideas, but at the same time, the manager must know when it simply isnt working and change things, again today, he didnt!
