Martinez - Thoughts So Far?

Think we've shown progress in each game. Today was the best showing in my opinion- just lack that killer touch in the final third.

We are desperate for a striker and some legs in the middle. Cardiff had like 9 players in the box when defending- similar to West Brom last week.

Play is positive, just working out kinks. Too flat across the pitch when we've got pressure on. For as much style change as we've gone through, I was expecting less, TBH. Stuff to work on but it's mostly positive changes and not panic shizzle.

A sting of 0-0's could be on the cards, but this is nothing like the string of 0-0's that Smith served up in the '98-'99 season.

I wish we had spent that 6 million on Kone with a bit more imagination though. That sort of money comes along once a season at Everton at best.

Still, unbeaten, through in the cup it's not all doom and gloom!

However... Cardiff, Norwich, WBA... keep dropping points against these teams we will need to look at the fixture run-in with a pinch of anxiety perhaps.

Its a results business, we arnt getting results for very obvious reasons. Teams park the bus against teams all the time but still manage to score.

Our passing is good, free flowing and accurate, but its all a wast of time cause its not getting us chances, and its making the team be less instinctive, especially in front of goal. We can have all the possession we want, but its now showing in 3 games that it pointless as its not creating anything.

Good points - His belief in young Ross, you cant deny he has been our best player in 3 games. Distin has also been brilliant for us.

I will support our new manager all the way, but i dont think he is good enough, and i always said he was the wrong choice for us.

This x 1000%

It's been amazing transition.

The biggest positive for me is how he's proud to be Everton manager, and how he talks about the fans. Letting us know things first, showing us respect. I enjoyed the way he stood up to Moyes and Man Utd. And I think he knows we need to get goals into the side, especially if we lose Fellaini. He talked about how Fellaini coming on against Stevenage gave us our cutting edge. I think he knows where he wants to improve and if he has about £15m (pipe dream I know) to spend without selling Fellaini and Baines I think he'll surprise us before the window by bringing some good players in. I just hope he has a decent amount of money left. Mackay was linked with us and has impressed me but Martinez did much better against him than Man City did last weekend. Delefeou is a brilliant coup but the key will be injuries and getting some goals into the side.

Need more movement up front.

Need more of a plan B, don't think Martinez has changed formation at all in the 3 PL games?

He needs time to implement his style. It's not working straight away but I'm confident that given time and not signing any Wigan players we should be alright.
