He's either a liar or stupid. If he's a liar or stupid in public, he's a liar or stupid full stop.

I'd prefer to not have a liar or an idiot as Everton manager. For me, what he's doing is as bad as a player diving or feigning injury.

He'd get a lot more respect from everyone if he was honest. He's not protecting the players; he's making the club look ridiculous. It's the deluded behaviour I'd expect from an RS manager, not an Everton one.
If he comes out and says it should of been a red, what happens next time in this type of situation.
The Ref has an easy decision in sending any player off, as he knows the manager will go into the interview and say the Ref was right and he has no issues. He defends his players as he wants to make sure that any future red cards have to be 110% correct, and the ref knows it will be questioned even if a shadow of any doubt.
It does make me laugh over some of the comments over Martinez, as you would think he was out on his own and setting a new standard in how you defend your players - all managers do the same and it will continue.

Does the guy has some form of learning difficulty? It's beyond cringe-worthy/laughable now.

Before some righteous [Poor language removed] jumps over me - its a serious question, not a wind up.

People defending him by saying, oh the teams below won't pick up X amount of points...oh [Poor language removed] whop di [Poor language removed] do...staying up by default.

Get the jobsworth gone.

Okay mate

I think you'll agree that your words may have been a tad hasty. Without a doubt, the season's been poor, but at least this weekend we could quietely hum "I never felt more like singing the Blues ...". I don't normally work Monday's but went into the office today purely to be condescending towards a load of kopites.

I'm sure we've all done the same today.

Yeah but he doesn't talk absolute tripe in private though!!!!!!!!!!"£!4221!¬!111!!!!!!!!!!! Or so people will claim anyway.

But what he says in public and how he says it are pointers towards his character which can be used to judge how he might act at other times.

I find it highly unlikely that his manner in private is that much different to his manner in public. Some differences of course, he may well talk less bollocks and be more angry and aggressive. But not by a lot.

The wishy washy bollocks he talks in most interviews will be talked most other times.

The way our players have performed this season and the way they react to defeats and poor performances seems to suggest that actually, he is probably saying the same in private as he is to the cameras. That includes the last 3 games by the way, that we've won and played absolutely cack in

Not me mate. They've reached 2 semi finals and sitting comfortably above us in the league.

Martinez - My opinion remains as per

He'll start a new season, having learnt more about Everton this season than ever before. He'll start that season (provided we don't win the Europa...) without any European commitments.

Review the manager in December...

Until then, do we really need to entertain the tedious, premature sacking the manager debate?...

If we're bottom 10 come December, I'd want rid.

Remember going to Aintree for an audience with Roberto Martinez, we were all hanging on to every word he uttered,at the end of the evening everyone wanted a piece of him,he was like a breath of fresh air, after ten + years of dour Davey, where the --- did it all go wrong ?

I think the reverse, purely because next season is going to be played under the same conditions as the first and not the second (no European distractions).

I think it's been a wrecking ball right through our domestic campaign (the EL) and we'll see a lot more energy and pace about our performances next season.

I fully expect a minimum top 7/8 finish.
Based on that assessment we can only hope we don't qualify for Europe again while Martinez is here then.

That doesn't factor in lessons being learned.

I expect us to be playing in the EL in a couple of seasons time. with a more settled set of players and prioritising the PL not the EL...early on in the group stages in any case.

Our results have been better the last few games, but come on, if we couldn't have beaten QPR, Newcastle and Burnley
we really would have been in trouble, three very poor teams and QPR were the better team and deserved to beat us.
I also think those meetings he had with the players have got a lot to do with it, Since we dumped the ticka -tacka rubbish we've scraped a few wins together...still far from perfect though.

Not saying I wouldn't. Klopp is very obviously a good manager who's had one bad season.

Yet, people who'd have Klopp here tomorrow are writing Martinez off after one bad season.

That's the point I was trying to make.
It would be interesting to see how Klopp did with the same group of players that Martinez has though.
