Not me mate. They've reached 2 semi finals and sitting comfortably above us in the league.

Martinez - My opinion remains as per

Oh, they've had a much better season that us, no doubt about that, but that's no reason not to have a dig at them when they're hurting. Not so much the decent kopites ( of which there are a few ), more the hangers on who only show an interest when they look like they're doing well.

Anyway, Martinez. His job is to deliver a league position commensurate with the money available to him for playing costs, so he needs to be there, or thereabouts in terms of Europa league qualification. Which means he outperformed a bit in season one and has failed woefully in season two. Next season he'll have had as much time as is reasonable expected to mould the squad into how he wants it and he'll stand or fall on that. Top eight is a must really, anything less and he'll have failed two seasons on the trot and it'll be time for someone else to have a crack at the job.

TL;DR ?

  • Kopites are gobshoites ( with some exceptions )
  • Martinez must do better.

this is basically all that needs to be said really. one great season one dreadful. he'll have the summer and next year to prove which is the standard and which was a one off

I was one of the first to say sack him. A couple of times lately I've turned the sound down on the telly, his eyes used to sparkle and make us feel good again about our club, but now he looks haunted. Since 1970 a lot of men have taken up self employment (The Tories think it is a good idea)
to make ends meet or better or worse. Being the Boss isn't as good as it looks, sacking a friend or workmate can be so hard. Without going on too much, Roberto, think of your wife and kids and put them first, your backroom staff will get jobs, Everton will be here in 100 years and you'll still have a few million in the bank. Please don't be a Scotsman and worry about the money.

What happened to all this "he's lost the dressing room" bollocks? There's been so much tripe written about Martinez this season it's unbelievable. The views of some Evertonians has really surprised and saddened me.....I always thought we were a much more loyal and understanding bunch with a sense of realism. Shame.

Not many exceptions.

Hmmm, a noticeable change since the United game.

Even as someone who is wholeheartedly in favour of Martinez, if you've you've changed your vote from out to in on the basis of today's game then your vote shouldn't even count.
