End of the day he needs to score as overall he's showing why chelsea didn't think he was ready for them yet, his overall game isnt at the level it needs to be at, BUT as long as he keeps slotting then its all ok

What's people's thoughts on him today, i personally don't want us to sign him, i know he scored today like but i think we can get much better for the money he'd cost, i was a bit upset on 72 mins when he lost the ball (for the umpteenth time) but it bounced off the defender and ended up at McGeady's feet, now McGeady wanted Lukaku to be alert and ready for passes but Lukaka ended up with his back to McGeady and the ball and he just put his hands over his face, McGeady had no option but to shoot from long range

I want us to sign him mate, but only if were paying for what he is right now, not what some think he may be, atm hes's not a 20m player, not close to that value really

Yes he is a goal scorer but he does not add much to the attacking play (e.g link up play, passing ain't good etc).

I still think he will become a top class striker though, when he is 27/28.

I certainly wouldn't want to be paying too much for him.

He is not a particularly good footballer, IMO

Same here mate, for the first time in a whilst we have someone who i feel if they get a chance they'll slot, for all his flaws he is a natural goalcorer, i'd take benteke as well like, less sure on bony (not seen him that much) and remy (bit rapey)

Young players a rarely anywhere close to the finiahes product. If they are they cost a fortune.

For me Lukaku is scoring at a much higher rate in this league than you would expect from a kid and I would be certain the frustrating flaws pointed out above will be worked on and ironed out.

I think this will make him a future 30m+ striker so if we can get him for 20m or less we should do it.

...he might lose the ball, he might have the odd bad touch, but his record shows he scores goals. We've been crying out for that type, he is that type. Suppose its all down to how much will he cost, but if he ends up being our CF I wont be complaining. Young lad, reckon he can only get better.
