If it is tiredness fair enough he is a young lad who came off the bench a lot last season as appose to starting for WBA but he needs to keep his mouth shut in the media wether it be talking up our title credentials, talking about being best in the world or saying how no matter what he I'd going back to Chelsea as though he is too good for us he is lucky to be at our club and knowing it would take a miracle for him to be dropped at the moment Steven hawking would hold the ball up and link player in better than him

No doubt he needs better competition. and his performances recently have dipped but please please please can people stop using this pathetic excuse of tiredness or needs a rest. If he aint performing then he gets "dropped" and someone else gets a chance until he proves in training he should be back in the side. He is 20 years of age playing football a couple of times a week, and training most days for a few hours. Now put yourself in that position for a moment. would you feel tired, I know I wouldnt. Is Luis Suarez tired, is Ronaldo tired, of course not, they play every week. Poor form is not linked to tiredness as a professional sportsman, its just quite simply poor form.

You're one of the smart ones, aren't you...I can tell.

You don't think athletes get tired after doing 90 minutes of exercise which is intense exercise by the way, if you actually think players don't get tired after playing a certain ammount of games in a short space of time then that invalidates everything you've said.

Hes not a 'back to goal' player imo, his 2nd touch is always a tackle. Just get him in the box where he is at his most dangerous and he will score goals for us

Clueless... He could barely complete 90mins when he first arrived, his fitness has improved but the lone striker role is hard work and he's one of the few players that has played every game for us recently. He would get rested i'm sure if we had better back up than Jelavic, but he doesn't offer us any more than a tired Lukaku.

i dont agree. jelavic was considered one of our key players not that long ago and yes hes had a poor run of form but you dont just become a bad player over night. Jelavic is good enough to deserve a game assuming hes not being sold. Lukaku has simply not been good enough in the last few weeks with his link up play and build up play

Agreed. I'd come to the conclusion that part of the Lukaku deal stipulated that he had to play full matches.

He's 20...he's gonna drop in form leading the line as a sole striker. Can't think any of the top leagues who have a 20 year old blasting them into champion league places.

WBA did drop him for a while to be fair...

Jelavic hasn't played well for well over a year. It's time to give up on him now.

No but you do over 18 months.

So....how long would you keep giving a striker a chance when he is not scoring...cant control the ball..is frequently offside and basically adds nothing?

As said above...its been a year!! I like a patient reasonable fan but this is ridiculous...Jelavic has done nothing to deserve his place in a year.

Lukaku plays every week because the boss sees he is the only option. Jelavic gets minutes as a sub right now for the same reason.

I cant wait until this isnt a talking poont anymore

Here is a mad thought

He was always crap and had a purple patch when he arrived
