Can Bill pull this off ? I should imagine given his electric form this season that Chelsea will want him back, Everton would have to bid in excess of 25 million for him

...partly correct. They might sell him to a Serie A team if Rom is unsettled. But I don't think he is. He will return to Chelsea and in 2 years time, be their 'main man.

does anyone else agree that lukaku has been well below par the last 3 or 4 games? Im for the first time seeing why Mourinho left him out because he has a shocking touch at times and his passing can be well off. I think in the last 3 games if we had played Jelavic he would have been more effective. I also think there must be some sort of clause in Lukakus contract stating that he has to start matches because he has been putting in 6 out of 10 performances recently and deserves to be dropped.

His first touch has been gradually deteriorating over the past month. Today it was maybe at an all time low?

Maybe too tired, lack of fitness.

Whatever it is, He needs to be scoring otherwise he starts to evolve into a Jelavic.

Ok I'm being overly dramatic but he needs to not look so flat footed.

I'm backing him to start banging them in again very soon! .........BUT will his first touch improve?

I'd agree a couple of his mistakes have cost goals,so playing him off the bench later in games can only benefit him.

He was poor today. Clearly tired but jelavic isn't good enough to replace him. We're desperate for another striker. The Kone injury has cost us points recently IMO. We could do with bringing in a couple of strikers this window and losing jelavic.

Lukaku's first touch against West Ham was brilliant and I thought "WOW, he has got it all". Since then though his control seems to have got worse and worse with today's performance representing a nadir. Also he does not seem to win alot of balls in the air although the delivery has been pretty ****e. Despite all I have said, I rate him and really want to see him given a rest for the next 10 days

Has his flaws but is still learning. Only 20 and has a good scoring record in the Prem.

Will be huge for us in the run in after getting plenty of rest when the new front man comes in. Been tough on him that weve had no decent backup.
