sorry to be negative but I reckon this rumour has been started by the board since The Peoples Group are gaining a bit of momentum. The board are actually starting to feel a little bit of pressure and want to distract us.

I think you massively overstate your influence. You have none. Everton fans generally are getting jittery, even though its only mid July because they see a lot of teams buying players, even though the majority of purchases we'd stick our noses up at them.

Its the culmination of continued summers where we have not made the type of purchases needed to make that big step up.

Its the bottom end of a boil at the moment and if we make no purchases, the outcry won't be led by an organised group. but by what people are doing now, going on radio, challenging articles in newspapers, raising concerns in forums. Some have even come up with good ideas.

You might like to think the board is stupid, but really you know it isn't.

Agree with a lot of that. The last line gives me some problems though.

Don't care who gets signed, just someone, anyone, for massive money, get the cash out, I heard there is some kid from Kazakhstan that can kick a ball with so much curl on it it acts like a boomerang. Sign him ffs or else.
/stupid attitude and WUM efforts off.

Dan Gosling.

Ever Banega.

João Moutinho.

Joseph Yobo.

I give you....

Tim Howard, Tim Cahill, Mofro, Gaye, Coleman, Kilbane

The board didn't choose these players but they did tie them up financially. So, for every failed transfer you want to name, I can name a successful one. The board is not stupid, but it doesn't mean that it is immune from acting stupidly. All the examples you cite I can agree with except Yobo, unless you knew that the boss of fenerbache would be arrested on curruption charges shortly after deciding that the £6m deal we both AGREED should only be worth £3m. Should Everton have accepted an under valuation for one of their players? I don't think so.

Mawder

The pink kit was approved by both the board, Moyes and the players. They must be all stupid on that basis.

Good ol' Lewis on the Schalke stadium around the time when they signed him last year (Translated from German):

Lewis Holtby said:
I am delighted that the change has worked. A week ago I was still here in the stadium and I liked it well. The spectators are close and it smells like sausage.
