The Founder.

Not a bad film. The McDonald's brothers seemed to have been decent blokes, but man that Ray Kroc was a nasty tit. Genuinely hated him during the movie. Michael Keaton with a good performance (as usual).

The Nice Guys

LOVED IT! Most entertaining film I've seen in years. Very much a modern version of Beverly Hills Cop (which I was just lamenting that lack of last week) crossed with The Big Lebowski.

Can definitely see myself watching that again.

Watched that a while ago after reading some very positive reviews. Can't say I enjoyed it that much, it was decent but I somehow expected it to be better.

Sequels are dodgy. I think I've only seen two I really liked - Godfather 2 And French Connection 2.

Disappointing. Still would like to see it. Was getting 5 star reviews coming out of it's arse.

Yeah, that's what I thought, a 6.7 on IMDB usually means it's not bad.

I think the best way to describe it, is "you can see the joins". Not a completely horrid experience, I think I just wanted it to be better because it was a British movie, but 28 days later is streets ahead.

28 Days Later was such an incredible disappointment. It was like a low-grade DOOM rip-off, some turgid dialogue then a zombie jumps out, gets shot, back to the turgid dialogue, repeat.

Just saw LaLa Land, I was moved. Not as good as Whiplash but a very good film nonetheless

Glad I didn't in the end, but the singing was the weakest part of this "musical" for me.
