The Girl with all the Gifts - Go away with this garbage, such promise on paper, delivered with the quality of a low budget soap, couldn't even be saved by Paddy Considine, 2/10.

Hacksaw Ridge - First of all the sheer quality of this production made me hate the earlier film (above) even more. It's not on a par with Saving Private Ryan/BOB, but nothing is IMO. It is however a solid 8/10. Some of the battle scene gore was edging on over-the-top and a hand-full of war film cliches, but that's just nit-picking.

I'm currently reading the "Girl With All The Gifts " , which the film is based on.

I'm halfway through and cant put it down.

Will post in the book thread when I've finished it.

But so far it's a very good book.

I enjoyed the first Transformers a lot.

The second was alright. The third and fourth are a bit samey. Still watched them though.

Mind you, remember what they say. Opinions are like butt-holes. Everyone has one, and they all stink.

It's worth watching for Megan Fox in hot pants and a bra top alone.

My lad still hasn't worked out why I was happy to watch it for the fifteenth time with him.

Pity she ruined herself with plastic surgery.

I agree the book is very good,it just didnt translate to the big screen,obviously books tend to be better but this film just lacked everything a film needs,awful cast,sound cinematography,give it a watch when you get time you will see what I mean

I was going to go and see it too, but it only came out for a week and missed it.

Thats why I watched it,read the book,seen it was getting made into a movie, then watched it anticipating a good col of hours enjoyment,ended up what appeared to be a poorly made media student film,imagine crossroads done poorly and it will give you some idea how bad it comes across

LOVED IT! Most entertaining film I've seen in years. Very much a modern version of Beverly Hills Cop (which I was just lamenting that lack of last week) crossed with The Big Lebowski.

Can definitely see myself watching that again.

Just watched Manchester by the sea and I did enjoy it but it kind of just finished randomly out of nowhere. Was expecting a bit more from the ending especially how long the film was. Things were left a bit unresolved for me and the story could have moved along a bit quicker. Otherwise I thought it was decent and worth a watch. Would give it 7.5 out of 10.

Disappointing. Still would like to see it. Was getting 5 star reviews coming out of it's arse.

T2 Trainspotting. Not a patch on the first film and nothing like the books.

Sequels are dodgy. I think I've only seen two I really liked - Godfather 2 And French Connection 2.

I haven't seen either of those! Don't go to the flicks as much any more and the wife's in control of the TV!
