Hello Carl!Hello lad.
How is the dog.Hello Carl!
Hmm, it makes me wonder what you were expecting from the movie.
Much like Godzilla, you aren't going to get amazing acting, a deep plot, great character development. It just won't happen.
Charlie Hunnam was rubbish in it, as was the guy who played the Australian Jaegar pilot (the son, not the dad). But Rinko Kikushi and Idris Elba were both good. Charlie Day provided adequate comic relief. Ron Pearlman did what Ron Pearlman does.
What you get is GIANT robots fighting GIANT monsters. And on that front it delivered. It looked good, it sounded good and the action was just about right.
It more than doubled the money spent on it ($190M budget, took in over $400M worldwide) so we are getting a sequel.
Which incidentally has a new poster:
Switch off the brain and enjoy!!!!
I enjoyed the first Transformers a lot.So, is it different to transformers?

The second was alright. The third and fourth are a bit samey. Still watched them though.
Mind you, remember what they say. Opinions are like butt-holes. Everyone has one, and they all stink.
It's different to Transformers. It is very heavily influenced by things like Gundam and Godzilla (note, it is not a copy of either, just inspired by, so Gundam fans, back off!)I think I've got one more transformers film to watch, will watch it and others that follow, because you get that 'loyalty' attachment, even when they get stale.
Is it like Transformers though, or is it a different 'thing'?
