I really don't see what the problem is to be honest.
Another player for 3 months or so, excellent. Whether he settles in well or not, he gives Moyes options.
This is how I feel. Even if Donovan doesn't do it, it's nice to have a player like that there just in case he does.
Its a problem from my perspective mate, others may not agree - i dont think he will settle in two and half months and adjust to the prem in time to be any way significant.
I also dont think its the right move when you have a squad players with massive injury/depth problems going on two years now and you choose a player who will give you two and a half months rather then six - i mean he would have to be a hell of player to be twice another player on the market we could get for six months. Like i say he also has t prove he can play in the Prem and adjust in that time - i dont think he can or will, just on past expierence.
Ill always give the lad a chance and wait till i see more of him to make up my mind, hell im sure he has something to offer i just think the foundation wont be there for the lad or the team to flourish in a short space of time and from that point of view i think its a bad move for the lad and Everton. I cant help but think we will be seeing posts like this in the next few months:
"you could tell he was a player by the glimpses of quality he showed on the ball, but he wasnt here long enough"
When this going to happen like? Sounds like bollocks.
I know...lets get rid of our top goalscorer and our record signing striker for a untested MLS player who wont be playing for the entire season.
I would be happy with Alan Smith from the barcodes.
A question for mainly the Americans, Would you say Donovan is the best American Football Player?
He's been our best outfield player for the past 10 years with all due respect to Reyna, Dempsey, etc....
He won't have any problem at the Premier level of English football. Trust me on this.
Like Rook said so well earlier. If he was from Portugal or someplace like that, everyone would be drooling over having him here.
As it stands, he's from the USA so he must not be "good enough."
Makes me laugh really.

Easily. And probably the best ever
