I agree with all that you say here, but the difference being that outlaying some cash for a permanent signing would send a very different message. I'll qualify that with the fact that there was slim pickings in the last window though.

Aye, but can you imagine the fume if we'd spent £15 million on this lad? Christ alive!! It's bad enough now, even though he's actually already scored a goal that has helped put us through to the next round of the cup.

Well, yes, very true. I guess that if we had shelled out the cash, one could only hope that RM saw something he could work with. Maybe that's why he only got him on a loan! ;)

It's all well

Debacle? Behave! His current injury is not related to the niggle he had when we signed him, you know? We could easily have spent £10 million on a striker, and there's no guarantee he would not have got injured...

...well mythbuster, I guess we might have to agree to disagree. That's ok isn't it? Or are you going to (in school teacher- like fashion) tell me to behave

Well, Lukaku is nearly back, Naismith has deserved a run and fourth has gone, so it doesn't matter too much. Hopefully we'll progress in the cup and he can be our secret weapon.

Did'nt think Martinez could make a worse signing than Kone but he's done it again with Troare but the latter has just killed all the respect i had for him, the clown has'nt got a clue when it comes to forwards or the final third

Can we all pay attention to the fact that this blert fundamentally misunderstands where apostrophes are supposed to go? I think it's important...

Am sorry but taking a young hungry striker who scored 15+ goals last season is not a risk. A PL champion CM with a wealth of experience in the leauge is not really a risk is it. And del on loan a barca wonder kid sounds good but ill give you that was a risk yes.

what I think was a risk is leaving it till the last minute to sigh 3 players on deadline day. Although i doubt it's how he wanted it.

personally I think that his biggest risk/mistake is what I've said from day one bringing in kone and getting rid of vic who is younger and his best quality's are holding up balls and laying off to surrounding players which is exactly what we want form our strikers.

But even so we need to remember that as a manager martinez is still learning and growing as a manager at this level but I as a club we are still growing with him and his vision of the club which isn't going to happen in his first season with no money. I think he's been blood brilliant all in all tbh. And am proud to be able to be a fan of a club that is playing attractive football with some damm fine players that is growing to something special.

I think we can all feel this and see it coming on bit by bit each week and i think this is why there is more frustration this year then others we are just not quite there yet. But we soon will be I think.

Use the same logic, while talking about the striker we have signed on loan, that has cost over £30 million, and played CL football for years.....
