A risk of sorts, yes.

I like how YOU dont think they are risk, so they are not risks.

Chaging tactics IS a risk.

Taking Lukaku & Barry & Gerard on loand, were risks.

Changing tactics is a risk then, lets face it, long term it hasnt really got us anywhere has it, we seem to be winning a lot of passing, but not actually games.

I wouldn't even put money on Lukaku facing West Ham, tbh.

This team is running on fumes.

Traore is a disastrous signing. There can be no room for debate on that. After Alacarez and Traore we cant be going down the route of bringing in players with injuries or poor injury records. I'd extend that to Gibson also.

Of course there in room for debate . As I said if he comes back plays the last 6 or 7 and scores a few the whole debate will turn .

Thats if you assume the game in hand is a won game, its always a game in hand until such time that its won, see Sunderland for how easy games can be lost.

Well your assuming that Spurs and United will win thiers! Every game is a must win . But the teams above will be dropping points .

Bad luck. It was a risk, that did not pay off. Ah well. On we go.

Martinez is a manager that does take risks, so this will happen under him, more than it would the other fella.

We are all happy enough to enjoy the benifit to the risks that pay off, we need to take the ones that dont.

Every manager takes risks, it's part & parcel of the job. However the difference between the best & the rest, is that they take considered risks i.e. they've factored in all of the variables & arrived at a decision that has an element of risk, but is deemed on balance to be one worth taking.

The decision he made over Traore had excessive risk, given his lack of playing time in months, added to the hamstring injury he was already carrying

I disagree, whatever happens in the future, currently we have lost 3 of our last 4 games.

And so will we.

Clearly we can still get 5th, its a tough ask but its very doable, but I consider our current form and im not sure how, to be quite honest, clearly everything changes on Saturday and I will be probably be saying we can still win the league if we win.

I dont wish to be negative, but Everton results impact my mood, when we lose im very down and hate everything and everyone, thats just the way I roll.

I can understand mate , but it´s not like we got hammered by Spurs or Chelsea is it? We out played the pair of them .They were both lucky to win ,but two draws although would have been good for moral would still only give us two points .

I honestly couldnt see us scoring in either game, yes we played well, until the final 3rd and then, nothing.

Thats my main concern, not just the defeats, which I agree, were very "unlucky".

Am sorry but taking a young hungry striker who scored 15+ goals last season is not a risk. A PL champion CM with a wealth of experience in the leauge is not really a risk is it. And del on loan a barca wonder kid sounds good but ill give you that was a risk yes.

what I think was a risk is leaving it till the last minute to sigh 3 players on deadline day. Although i doubt it's how he wanted it.

personally I think that his biggest risk/mistake is what I've said from day one bringing in kone and getting rid of vic who is younger and his best quality's are holding up balls and laying off to surrounding players which is exactly what we want form our strikers.

But even so we need to remember that as a manager martinez is still learning and growing as a manager at this level but I as a club we are still growing with him and his vision of the club which isn't going to happen in his first season with no money. I think he's been blood brilliant all in all tbh. And am proud to be able to be a fan of a club that is playing attractive football with some damm fine players that is growing to something special.

I think we can all feel this and see it coming on bit by bit each week and i think this is why there is more frustration this year then others we are just not quite there yet. But we soon will be I think.

Ah....you have put your finger on something that been bothering me.

I was thinking Vic was replaced by Lukaku and was trying to find reasons why we shouldn't have accepted the dough on offer for him.

But we could have held on to Victor if we hadn't bought Kone.

Buying Kone and selling Victor has been a major mistake, IMO

His situation is even worse than not playing for 4 months. At Anzhi he'd only started 4 games and came on 3 times since July. His injury sequence goes like this:

Came on in the first game of season in July - missed next 4 games with injury - started next 3 games - missed next 4 games with injury - came on in next 2 games and started the following game - misses next 10 games - sold to monaco - joins Everton on loan - plays first game for 4 months against Swansea - injured in warm up in next game - tbc...

Shocking read.

Oh mate I think that has been his biggest mistake by miles imo like I said it as soon as we signed kone vic was going. Still don't make sense to me but hey Ho. If he hadn't of got an injury he may of found his feet and be banging them in eh.
