If you want someone to regularly blast you 20 goals a season you probably need to spend at least £15m. It'll be exactly the same under Martinez.

Im not sure the point your trying to make, most of those players struggled to get 10 goals most seasons, before and Everton.

Robin Van Persie is a 20 goals a season striker and he was bought for 24m.

Spending a fortune on a striker doesn't guarantee that he'll be a success. Was Carroll (£35M) a success at Liverpool? Borini (£11M)?
