Sky News sports bulletin also leading on Tim Sherwood and Spurs.
Whereas we're next.
Ridiculous really.
Don't understand the uproar, it's a testament to Barkleys blossoming ability that he is being touted for those kinds of figures to teams like United. I don't think many would bet against him continuing to develop his game and then going in a couple of years for that kind of a sum, he's a top young talent and that is a valuable commodity to any top team.
Great performance again today, long may it continue.
they mention Ginge cos he is the Manure manager, simples
if you and cocks wanna sell Ross for 27m after two more years with us, then that's your opinion.
You'll both be outrageously outmanned by the rest of us, tho'.
Heard the same about Rodwell and Fellaini. Ross is no different.
Ultimately if we can't provide him with Champions League Football, eventually someone with the ability to do so will come knocking. It's not turned out too badly for Rooney at United, and If Barkley maintains this curve, he could well be every bit as good.
Oooooo......ooooooooo....my cookachoo
You're a red, you're never a blue,
You hate to see us doing well don't you
You make me laugh my cookachoo.
can't argue with the harsh reality of your post, it just feels wrong, tho'.
I really hope Ross stays with us for his entire career. I was crushed when Rooney left, not sure how we'll handle another one going.
Rodders wasn't anywhere near as good as Ross is showing, and Jack was pretty decent at times.
Fellaini's different, we paid top money for him in the first place, we didn't develop him from scratch.
The hype around Rodwell at one point was just as great as the hype around Barkley now.
The harsh fact is that the top young players we've nurtured over the recent decade have eventually moved on to pastures new chiefly to secure success. I strongly believe that if Rooney truly thought Everton could compete, he would still be here today. I think the same could be said of Jack and to a lesser extent, Felli, and the same question will one day be asked of Ross.
When that time comes, if we can offer him Champions League football, I fully expect he will stay. If not then, hey, every player has a price. It's not very often that top young players will stay at their home club out of sheer loyalty at the expense of success, silverware and international recognition when the top teams come calling.
