Ofcourse there is, if a manager has a full squad to pick from then he'll pick his strongest eleven, if he actually knows what his best eleven is. There might be the odd change here and there depending on the game but you'll usually see 8-9 players that basically play every week.

That hasn't been the case for us because of injuries. I've seen Moyes mention quite a few times that he's not a fan of rotation either, he likes to have a settled team.

Rodwell has been as bad as the players around him, certainly no worse. And as a centre midfielder he's simply light years ahead of Cahill, even at 18. And I'm a fan of Tim, but he's better in a more advanced position.

Howard

Neill/Neville
Jagielka
Distin
Baines

Bilyaletdinov
Rodwell
Arteta
Pienaar

Saha
Yakubu

TxB is spot on, thats my best 11 also, clearly there is a place for Cahill and Fellaini, as well as a few others, like Johnny, but if we had everybody in the squad fit and 100% bang on form that would be an unbeatable team, it has everything, stick Timmy on for the last 30mins in place of 1 of the strikers and we will crush everybody.

Sell Fellaini to Lyon or some other mugs.

I agree in tecnical ability, but Tim gives the drive an determination we need. Rodwell cant lead yet, Tim does.

TBH mate, he does some good things in the game, and i facy him to be a star of the future. But latley he's been quiet as a mouse in the middle. We need players to show for the ball an he's been hideing. He's not the only one......

He's 18. He's still learning, but I would still put him in the team. With Arteta and Pienaar, he would immense, but then what about Heitinga, thought he was a monster yesterday.

There's no such thing as a "best 11" any more.

Im a big fan of Fallaini an id play with him in a 5 midfield with better players around.

Also Rodwell has been very, very poor the last 3-4 weeks. He's not ready yet..!!! How you can put him before Cahill is beyond me.

Well said that man .
The kid needs a rest , and any other year would've gotten one .
Will get there , but defo , " work in progress " .
Felliani too is learning , but for me has been better than Jackie of late . Wouldn't have taken him off yday neither . Billy would've got the nod . As it turned out , I'd've been right .

Totaly spot on LCAB, but people cant see past £15m price tag.

Would you pay £15m for rodwell...?? He's not worth £5m right now, but will be worth 10 times that in the end..!!

Fellaini, think about it!!

They've both been average for me, Fellaini hasn't been good either, and it's got nothing to do with the price tag. He was terrible against Benfica, made two mistakes and cost us goals. Rodwell did the same thing against Bolton for the first goal.

But saying that, Cahill's been worse than both of them, even if he has been playing out of position. If anyone deserves to be dropped it's him, certainly not Fellaini or Rodwell.

Think your missing the point TB, Cahill gives us somthing Fellaini an Jack doeasn't. Drive, leadership an determination. Non have been that good of late but Tim has an extra edge.

Look at our goal this weekend, Tim bust a gut to win that ball on the right. Neither Fellaini or Rodwell would have done that. he just makes thing happen for us, an not always when he's on the ball.

Once more Toc' , Sharp's has a point .
Timmy is the symbol of our side at present . The Face , if you will .
Did everyone see , how when we scored yday , everybody went to congratulate him ??? It wasn't just due to the run , but his absolute pride at being Captain of Everton at Goodison Park , and his glee at having contributed to that end personally .
He'll come good . Always does . In fact , they all will , but the statement that Rodwell needs a rest is pertinent .

Well nobody would doubt the talent of Tim Cahill, well only the really blind, but some of us would like to see 4-4-2 now and again, he simply doesnt suit 4-4-2 for me, hes not a natural CM and hes not a natural striker, if we are playing 4-5-1 he would be the first name on my team sheet, every single time, but 4-4-2 I would, for the sake of balance, put Rodwell, Arteta and even Neville ahead of him.

I would pick Cahill ahead of Fellaini in any formation tho.

A final point on Screech ; never mind Timmy ourt of position , Felliani has played behind the striker , midfield holder , wide , and now as our creative hub . This lad too is only young and doesn't hardly speaka-da-lingo . Yes , he got caught in Lisbon , but the point was he was looking to attempt to dribble , i.e, create , where others passed sideways / backwards . He put his hand up . Fukd up , granted , but put his hand up . Same yday , was our most creative force yday again . He's sorted the bookings thing out too . Get him settled- in a specific role - and he'll be fine .
Wil score in the Derby .
