Made a good fist of it

Up against a confident Utd side on a great unbeaten run I thought we did well last night.
Their football was tidy, and clinical. And though our performance lacked their finesse, we were in this game all the way through.

It is a credit to us that Utd had to defend with everything they had, and their goal, as clinical as it was, was against the run of play.

We built real pressure and their keeper was man of the match for me. We put immense pressure on them with so many precise corners that were causing total havoc. But no cigar.

We gave a great account of ourselves against a side high on self belief. On balance a draw would have been a fair result. But our lads can move on with increased self belief that though far from the finished article, they are on the right path and evidentially, after going toe to toe with the form side of the prem, we fans and Moysie can see improvements, and with more self belief, I for one, now more than ever, am confident we are on the right path.

I think we were woeful first half, had a go second half - but still didn't test their keeper until Michael Keane had a pop out of nothing.

I think Man Utd intentionally dropped deeper second half to play on the counter.

I think if we’d started with a more balanced team, we’d have been much more likely to get a result. Our corner routines were also embarrassing.

Felt to me that Man Utd had an off night, and come away with a win.

When ‘being in it all the way through’ looks like this.

Great piss take 😂

They were there for the taking. They won't believe they came away with a win the way they played. A draw probably would have been "fair" on the basis neither team were any good but when you get rubbish games like that, ultimately a bit of quality will decide it.

What I can't forgive is we consistently waste large parts of most games looking like its the first time anyone has met each other. I am appreciative it's the first season in a good few years we've never at any point had to look over our shoulders, but my god it is tough going. Squandered chance after chance to threaten the top 6 in what is a poor league and every single time we've bottled it.

We thought last summer was big, this one is bigger.

Happened a lot at home, Bournemouth and spurs were both terrible and got all 3 points. That seems to have pushed Moyes into setting up the side like its an away fixture but with our fans that isn't going to wash and rightly so

Honestly have to question people’s understanding of the game.

United have played well recently but were rotten last night - watch them get badly beaten soon.

The first half, both sides were poor, so many loose passes, no quality at all on show.

The second half we were better (and did deserve a point) but we never really looked like scoring. And as for the corners causing chaos! They only caused chaos to ourselves - United with Maguire and that keeper can defend floated balls into the 6 yard box all day long.

We lacked tempo, creativity, balance and pace.

Edit - I think the original post is a wind up isn’t it.
