That's spot on. It's game over. He's too damaged to ever play for the club again. So here we are on August 11 with no hand left to play whatsoever with under three weeks left in the window. It's cashing in time. There's nothing to be gained from now on in, but just watch as the three weeks become a day or so before selling him. Politics played out over our heads.

I'm not taking sides against Lescott here, btw. He's like all the rest of the mercenaries, but he'd still be with us if we were ambitious and financially bouyant.

i agree he's done but we'll be fine. we made the champions league the season after rooney ****ed off, lets not forget. now we're sending another to the mancs, in the face of treason i believe we'll truly come together.

worst case scenario:

howard
hibbert.....neville.....yobo....baines
rodwell
osman............................pienaar
fellaini......cahill
saha
it blows i know, his timing couldn't be worse and shows utter disrespect for the club, but we'll pull through i sincerely believe that if he's left out of the squad this weekends, the players will play their hearts out to show him what he's missing.

Lescott's agent has been on talksport and said Lescott will go on strike on Saturday if we don't let him go.

I hope you do, I really do. And I hope you go and hope you die in a car crash on the way to Manchester you scum bag.

Is this fact? If so this is turning into a major farce and someones head should roll ie the agent. What a joke this is now. Lescott is obviously reading this forum and is shitting himself at fans reactions. Looks like we've seen the last of him around Goodison. If he wants to strike keep him on the books till january and refuse to pay him. Talk about ungrateful.

That's the CB pairing from hell.

If I was being offered twice the amount of money to do my job but for a different company, it would be a real no brainer. The difference for fans is that the football "universe" is seen differently, somehow apart from real life.

Its not easy to see why. If in real life if you said that you were resigning and your employer said no, you'd say "do one, with knobs on it". Football is seen as something different which is why we have transfer rules which is outside anything that operates in any other industry. Loyalty can be "enforced".

Bottom line. The days of loyalty are over. We have to deal with these things in a business way, as much as it pains me to say.

I see what you are saying and normally i would agree however football is totally differant. Your average guy on the street may earn say 20k a year. Footballers ie lecott is on say 30-40k a week. A WEEK. That is the isssue i have. GREED GREED GREED. It's as though he is saying sorry but 40k a week is just not enough so your average joe gets annoyed as it takes them 2 years of hard graft to earn that, which is why i dont but the statement if you could get the same job and double your money you would as football is differant. That is why football is differant as you are on so much money anyway fans want to see ambition and loyalty and we also want players to remember ie lescott which club put you on the map and the england team.

I agree.

The worst case scenario really is a horrible scenario.

right our captain and vice captain playing centre back, shock! horror!

they're not our most creative players but the onus really will be on rodwell and baines to get the attacks started, like i said the players we have really will have to step up and punch above their weight.

We have to accept that despite what Moyes has said Lescott will be gone before window closes. As he has now put in a transfer request then Everton are TBH open to enquiries from any club.

Let the auction commence.

Where is 'Appy ' Arry?????

Still doesn't make it a good pairing

If Neville went upfront, it wouldn't be a good thing just 'cos he's captain ffs.
