The thing is, he's either going to play, or he's leaving. Moyes' isn't going to keep him and put him on the bench, just to get one over on him.

Lescott only cares about himself, and he's proven his lack of loyalty to the club from handing in a transfer request (which I've said all along, by the way). Sell him, no other option will be best for Everton.

No qualms in selling him. Its just far too late to get a replacement IMO, and Citeh will not pay £25mill for him. So best option is to keep him.

But now he's handed his transfer request in and we've told him to **** off. I hope we compeltely shatter his confidence and he gets benched, made an example of.

But I bet he goes at the last minute for £20mill. We're just waiting to line players up to buy or loan. But I bet Citeh turn around and say £18mill and we bite their hands off.

Anyone who thinks Lescott can still play for Everton is delusional. Players and agents have all the power in football now. Not too cut up about it myself. He's a good player but far from irreplaceable.
Just want us to milk Citeh fot as much as we can.

"Absolutely we want Joleon to stay," said the former Wigan defender. "I do not think anyone would want a player like Joleon to leave. The manager has said that and it was good to see the fans showing their appreciation for him as well because...
- Leighton Baines

“I don’t think he needs anyone to tell him what we have got here,” said Neville. “He sees that in training, he sees it in the camaraderie we have. But it is only Joleon that can decide.”
- Phil Neville

"Joleon is unbelievable, he's a strong defender who is going from strength to strength.
"It's probably a similar situation to myself where other managers are kicking themselves because they wanted to sign him.
"People thought that we might have paid a lot of money for him but Joleon has answered the critics and he's only getting stronger.
"He's a massive attribute to our defence and I think he's going to play a massive part in Everton's future."
-Tim Cahill

Joleon was injured when Wolves were in the Premier League so when he came to Everton people wondered how he was going to do and he showed everybody how good he was.
“I have all the confidence in the world in him because when you play behind him you have no doubts.
-Tim Howard

"Joleon played really well, he was terrific.
"And you only needed to hear the crowd's reaction to him, they know that what we are doing is correct. There was a lot of cheering for him, and rightly so.
-David Moyes

tried to dig one up for jagielka but i couldn't find anything, i know he's spoken glowingly of his teammate before.

i feel bad for you joleon, sooner or later you'll realize the error of your ways and what you left behind

Lescott's agent has been on talksport and said Lescott will go on strike on Saturday if we don't let him go.

I hope you do, I really do. And I hope you go and hope you die in a car crash on the way to Manchester you scum bag.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:lol:

Used to like you Lescott....now......game over for you son.

I am truly seething over this.

I can't believe he's said he'll go on strike.

I seriously hope someone's banging nails in to his coffin come next week.

Did the agent actually say that mate?

So far you're my only source and...no offense

If he did say that, then you can guarantee right now Lescott will not go to City. Moyes would make him suffer.

That's spot on. It's game over. He's too damaged to ever play for the club again. So here we are on August 11 with no hand left to play whatsoever with under three weeks left in the window. It's cashing in time. There's nothing to be gained from now on in, but just watch as the three weeks become a day or so before selling him. Politics played out over our heads.

I'm not taking sides against Lescott here, btw. He's like all the rest of the mercenaries, but he'd still be with us if we were ambitious and financially bouyant.

Moyes will take care of this the easy way. Lescott will be at Goodison on Saturday but he won't play. Instead, he'll be forced to sit out with the supporters.
