This is what I think will happen -
Lescott will play against Arsenal. Lescott will hope the fans destroy him, like he hoped they would against Malaga, to force a move. The fans will boo his every touch, and we'll probably lose.
Lescott will hand in another transfer request. Moyes will reject it again. He doesn't want to sell any of his players.
Lescott will end the transfer window at Everton. Both Evertonians and Lescott will be annoyed. It'll probably last another month, before we both realise we're stuck with eachother for the time being and get on with it.
That is the reality for me, because I think Moyes' position is set in stone, like his forehead.
Beggars belief really. This is exactly the situation that is worst for Everton.
The only reason Moyes has rejected the transfer request to say "Oh look, where not a selling club", then when he does go it will be "well we had to let him go".
He's off 100%.
David Wheater please.
No way.
If Moyes thought he could use that transfer money at this point he wouldn't care about the selling club thing, he'd do it. Fact is he doesn't want to sell because he thinks it would be detrimental to the squad at this point, losing one of our two fit centre backs and not being guaranteed a replacement before the start of the new season.
The transfer to him at this time makes no sense, he doesn't want to weaken to strengthen a rival.
He won't accept a transfer request.
IMO that's what it is.
I think Moyes is as confused as us over this whole thing.
And angry no doubt. Anger may have fuelled his instant dismissal of the transfer request.
get senderos TODAY.
play hibbert yobo senderos baines as our back 4.
tell city NO NO NO AND JUST IN CASE YOU DIDNT HERE ME NO AGAIN.
then put lescott on the bench till jags is back.
sell lescott in january (by that point he would have blown his england world cup chances)
we win , him and city lose out.
The thing is, he's either going to play, or he's leaving. Moyes' isn't going to keep him and put him on the bench, just to get one over on him.
Lescott only cares about himself, and he's proven his lack of loyalty to the club from handing in a transfer request (which I've said all along, by the way). Sell him, no other option will be best for Everton.
Lescott's agent has been on talksport and said Lescott will go on strike on Saturday if we don't let him go.
I hope you do, I really do. And I hope you go and hope you die in a car crash on the way to Manchester you scum bag.
