I think people want to temper their expectations of how great the summer window will be btw.

All this ‘let’s keep our powder dry and sign the players we really want’. The expectation that we’ll fix all the issues with the squad.

Let’s see how that goes.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we stuck with Patto not Ideal but he’s done fine lately would be great to see him have a good run and make the spot his own!

Well with Grealish confirmed out for the season and no signings on the horizon, for the 465th transfer window in living memory the Everton squad will be weaker at the end of the window than when it opened

The point that I think is being slightly forgotten is that a few of our better players, maybe likes of Ndiaye and Branthwaite are going to want European football and aren't going to be content with a slow boring rebuild where we hope to come 10-14th place every year.

To keep good players happy we need to have ambition off the field and clear improvement on the field. Careers at the top level can be short.

Totally overlooked by a lot of our fans.

But they'll be the first to moan when we finish 16/17th and the vultures are circling for Branthwaite , Ndyaie even Armstrong.

But we can rebuild with the profits while the World Cup is on.....right....right.
