January Transfer Window 2026

If we are interested in Tyrique George i would be very impressed if they pull it off.
There's clubs around europe been after him for a while now think he was close to leaving in the summer.
He's obviously way down the pecking order at Chelsea and needs a move.

Looks a fantastic talent and someone will snap him up readily.
IF the lad is up for it and wants regular football get a deal sorted with an option to buy.

Must be the first link from a reputable journalist we've had the entire window.

Would be a good with an option, he is fast.

Any incoming will be soured for me if we don't sign a right back though. Gross negligence at this point, its been 5 years since we had Sidibe here on loan.
You'd think the option would be available. Was about to join Fulham on a permanent in the Summer but they didn't get it completed, so he's surplus to requirements at Chelsea for sure.

I think, bringing in another 19 year old to sit on the bench to watch McNeil start in front of them regardless of how bad he is, would be a really strong move by the transfer committee. The 19 year old who can bench press the most can get that coveted 5 minute sub slot that’s available at the end of 1 in every 3 games.

While you’re talking to Chelsea maybe see if you can get one of their full backs as well, they seem to hoard good full backs like Davek hoards tin foil.

Tbf he seemed close to going to Fulham

The point that I think is being slightly forgotten is that a few of our better players, maybe likes of Ndiaye and Branthwaite are going to want European football and aren't going to be content with a slow boring rebuild where we hope to come 10-14th place every year.

To keep good players happy we need to have ambition off the field and clear improvement on the field. Careers at the top level can be short.
Generally speaking this is true but i'm not sure it's something that should be colouring our thinking in this particular window. If those two have seriously big fish circling in the summer then the chance to play Shelbourne and FC Noah in the conference league for us isn't going to convince them to stay let's be honest.

The fact is we should always be looking to improve the squad and always looking to bring in the best players possible. Ideally I would have liked us to bring in two or three top quality players in this window to help us through the rest of the season and beyond, that's always what I want from any window. I genuinely don't know how possible that would have been in this window, either from a financial perspective or in terms of the quality of player available, but if we've just decided not to follow through with potentially good deals that would be disappointing. What I can't get on board with is the idea that we should just bring in random bog standard players who don't really move the dial at all just for the sake of it. The way some people talk about it you'd think we were struggling to get eleven players on the pitch but we're not. Patterson and Mykolenko are not good full backs at this level but they're not so bad that any other full back on the market can come in and definitely be an improvement, same in whatever position you look at. We don't need Harrisons, Lindstroms, Danjumas, Brojas etc, it should be the right players or nothing.

Loan with an option, yes please.

God only knows how Moyes would go about giving minutes to yet another teenager in the squad, but George is the sort of player worth seeing if they're ready for the prem.

Plus he played a lot with KDH in the conference league last year which is a nice bonus.
Well he’d have to play one of two teenagers or Dwight McNeil and while Moyes might prefer experience he’s also not the sort of man who will tolerate the disgraceful lack of effort Dwight showed the other night.
