Mate you didn’t need Bobble’s mate to tell you this, our own CEO told us 4 months in advance.
But, from the tone he was using, I still expected 1 or 2 in - either straight loans or options to buy a la Alcaraz last season.

I absolutely don't buy this no value out there in Jan. You mean to tell me there is no-one out there who is an improvement on: Mykolenko, McNeil and O'Brien and Patterson as RBs? I highly doubt that. Just excuses as always.

It’s what these bluffers do best. As I keep saying, give it a week or so before we start hearing comments about how tough the summer window is going to be because of the World Cup.

No ambition from the owners and leadership at the club. There was an opportunity to kick on this month, or at least to get cover for a season ending injury to a key player.

There are ways to help the squad with a signing or two without being reckless with finances. You have to question why the club aren't making more of an effort to get European football

That’s what we are mate, excuses.

Someone used Vila spending say £600 million since they sold Grealish or whatever it is as to why we need to be patient.

The issue is for us to spend £600 million it would take us 6 years to do so

Playing down the prospect of transfers is pretty normal.

Especially when you consider that selling / lending clubs and players' agents are all trying to drive hard bargains and get as much out of us as they can.

If Moyes publicly says that we think signings are likely, that communicates to them that they have no reason to cede any ground in negotiations because we're going to cave.

It's how bad deals get done.

We were never signing anyone in January mate.

The CEO was playing down making signings before the window opened. A decision has been taken either collectively, or by someone at the club, not to prioritise this window.

I see Bobble's mate is giving the 'we'll go with what we've got', 'keep our powder dry' style nonsense.

Suggesting things haven't come to fruition. So we're done unless 'something comes up.'

Really, really poor from the club if true. Look at Fulham. Doing slightly better than us, in a position that is slightly better than the sum of their parts, and they go out and get more players for Silva. Mad really.
