You do realise we’re 1 or 2 injuries away from having no first team full backs or wingers…how is beefing up the squad in any way a waste???
I can’t get my head round people giving up on the season in January
TFG have.

We're gonna sign Stirling on deadline day, aren't we?
We're gonna sign Lingard on deadline day, aren't we?
Is take both until the end of the season. Lingard did well under Moyes..We're gonna sign Stirling on deadline day, aren't we?
But, from the tone he was using, I still expected 1 or 2 in - either straight loans or options to buy a la Alcaraz last season.Mate you didn’t need Bobble’s mate to tell you this, our own CEO told us 4 months in advance.

I absolutely don't buy this no value out there in Jan. You mean to tell me there is no-one out there who is an improvement on: Mykolenko, McNeil and O'Brien and Patterson as RBs? I highly doubt that. Just excuses as always.

Playing down the prospect of transfers is pretty normal.
Especially when you consider that selling / lending clubs and players' agents are all trying to drive hard bargains and get as much out of us as they can.
If Moyes publicly says that we think signings are likely, that communicates to them that they have no reason to cede any ground in negotiations because we're going to cave.
It's how bad deals get done.
The CEO was playing down making signings before the window opened. A decision has been taken either collectively, or by someone at the club, not to prioritise this window.Playing down the prospect of transfers is pretty normal.

I see Bobble's mate is giving the 'we'll go with what we've got', 'keep our powder dry' style nonsense.
Suggesting things haven't come to fruition. So we're done unless 'something comes up.'
Really, really poor from the club if true. Look at Fulham. Doing slightly better than us, in a position that is slightly better than the sum of their parts, and they go out and get more players for Silva. Mad really.
