January Transfer Window 2026

On Grealish he's probably right, maybe not Villa but unless City would accept the amount he owes them under PSR which one poster stated was around 16 million,I doubt our owners would pay around the 50 City allegedly want as Grealish's age doesn't fit what appears to be our present transfer profile.
City would probably accept and we would pay 20/25 m

What is a Moyes player

it would be silly to have loan spots and not use them right?

👀
Don’t we have 2 domestic loans (1 left with Grealish) and 6 international loans?

If you say that you might pay £5m per loan plus wages so maybe £7m total for 6 months, that’s £49m we can spend now on loans that might be filler players because they might take a while to get up to speed OR save that money til the summer and spend it on the down payments for 2 players of much higher calibre with at least some prospect of re-sale value in the future

Matchday Squad: A maximum of five loanees can be named in a matchday squad

Yeah it's a bit weird how some people seem to think loans are completely free. If there's a player available for loan that we want in the long term then great, or if there's someone we think can make a huge difference between now and May that's fine, but I can't get my head round people wanting us to just bring in random players that even they themselves don't rate just because we're allowed to, when it could just be a complete waste of millions of pounds.

I think people want to temper their expectations of how great the summer window will be btw.

All this ‘let’s keep our powder dry and sign the players we really want’. The expectation that we’ll fix all the issues with the squad.

Let’s see how that goes.

loan fees are normally about 1-2 mil max in january unless you are chasing an elite player

1-2 mil in the prem league is chump change
