January Transfer Window 2026

Bournemouth paying £30m for a 19 year old Brazilian striker.
Brazil U20 international who scored 14 goals in 34 Brazilian top‑flight matches last season.
That’s exactly the profile of player we should be looking for - ready now but with significant potential.
They've done great with players, but there's no way to know a 19 year old who has only played in Brazil is ready.

We signed a young lad who scored a very respectable number of goals across a couple of European top flight leagues and he has taken half a season to warm up. Other clubs taking similar punts that *might* work out better shouldn't be a stick to beat us with.

Not sure id bring in a Grealish replacement to be honest (or we will) , id be looking to utilise Dibling more.
Exactly this. We decided to give Barry a run in the team despite him showing less than nothing initially; why not take that same approach with Dibling (who has shown some flashes of skill) over the second half of the season?

Imagine if we ended the season with a young striker and winger in a rich vein of form and ready to smash it from day 1 next season. Very un-Everton but I'd love it.

I would because whatever does happen feel we need two wingers in the summer if can get a loan if for one would help. Another injury and leavrs us short on natural width, is already a problem with us not having attacking fb. Dibling should be getting time off thr bench anywaye or even starting

I just feel we've invested in Dibling and should utilise him mate, if you aren't using assets you already have, then dont come looking for more - that's what id be saying if i was TFG.

Id be on board with another two wingers, ones with pace who could facilitate a quick transition - i wouldn't do it until the summer though mate and id be trying to player trade, i wouldn't pursue Grealsih or a least id have a good long look at alternatives and id also try an flip McNeill to also do it.

I think there was a plan to sell McNeill this window which is now scuppered.

Fair point but they seem to know something because their track record is excellent.
Also I don’t think the Brazil top flight is any more of a gamble than say Germany at the moment.
Outside of Bayern, the quality isn’t great - Dortmund were awful against a limited Spurs team and there have been a number of high profile signings that have bombed in the premier league.

the same Dibling who is behind McNeil in the pecking order ?

for me Dibling has skills but he lacks the real willingness / determination from a 19 year old who needs to still prove himself.
also without a proper overlapping right back he is poor
