January Transfer Window 2026

Zero excuses. None of this they have only been in the role a month etc
Amazingly, this is actually the third Friedkin window. They sat on their hands last January - perhaps understandably as they had just come in - and they failed to have their competent professionals in for the summer window, which was subsequently inadequate. And now? Window number three. We were told that this rebuild would take multiple windows. We all accepted that as bitter reality. It's very hard to take people calling for patience seriously when they don't use two of their first three windows to actually implement the rebuild...

Grealish out for 3 months. Absolutely no excuses now they’ve got to go out and find a wide player. Dibling isn’t fancied and McNeil is nowhere near good enough so we’ve essentially got Ndiaye and Alcaraz/Aznou that can fill in playing out of position. Do your job recruitment team

One injury won't change their strategy. Perhaps there is a loan that could help, but they've said repeatedly that they won't overpay for deals in January. I don't know why many don't believe them.

….the anti-Moyes brigade want Dibling to play over McNeil, Moyes selects McNeil v Villa and gets a great win yet there’s still an insistence he plays Dibling.

Play McNeil at Villa and win, they complain over the selection. Play Dibling at Villa and lose & they’ll be the first ones posting after the game that Moyes should be sacked
Obviously there is a level of hypocrisy at times but both Dibling and Aznou should have been used far more already at this point of the season.

This situation with Grealish would be much less of a worry if we had a more clear idea of what those 2 players could contribute.

I’d be trusting the management and coaches on that one, Dibling hasn’t done enough to warrant more game time. It’s not as if the managers are choosing to leave them out because they don’t want to win.

Given the injuries we are picking up, the current state of the league (European qualification wide open) and the fact it's a world cup year (out-of-favour players will be desperate to be playing) I do think we bring in at least one loan player

Would have McNeil over Alcaraz every day of the week, though both are poor.
They can’t just go and get someone though, if no one half decent is available , we could end up with even worse players.

….they’d have been used more had they performed better, that’s how it works.

How can you support Everton and genuinely think this. Widely held opinion is that this season Moyes has only played the best side available when he's been forced to by injuries. Before that previous managers have all had their favourites.

It's just not true that players only get in on merit, Aznou's performance off the bench against Sunderland had vast majority of Everton fans unanimously agree that he's been misused by Moyes.

You just really clearly don't like Dibling at all for whatever reason and you won't just say that.
