January Transfer Window 2026

In all seriousness I think the notion that we have a screaming deficiency at full back would have invoked a high performing club to have their ducks lined up when the window opened, and fix that issue. I’m sure there’s caveats or reason but I’d very much like that Everton who operate in a dynamic way in the window. It would give Evertonians confidence that this time it’s different.

Still, two weeks to go so getting the right players at the right value must be the objective.

GOT calling him a dinosaur who had been left behind by the modern game.

Goes to Real Madrid and wins 2 champions leagues.
A huge fan of this. Enjoy how they just zero in on their next object of rage and think we forget how wrong they were, constantly, and how much they don’t know soccer. Which doesn’t stop their daily tirades.

Just book the therapy, lads.

Unfortunately we only know when the transfer window ends not when it starts.

True, one’s better on the ball. Am now just very suspicious of Moyes fullback preference after Alan Irvine said he had to convince him to sign Baines and he preferred to play Lecott at left back because of extra height it gave the defence. He’d love to get away with playing a couple of 6”4 cloggers at fullback if he could.
Look at his subs on Saturday, he couldn’t wait to get the 2 CB’s on the pitch when Myko and Patterson went down. Campbell left footed, so you go
Left back, welch right footed you go to RB, so predictable and so boring. Why not drop Asnou back and throw in a younger attacker left wing for the last 20 mins

Its why I don't think buying new fullbacks (yes we desperately need them) will make the huge difference some seem too think. All he is going to make them do is run hard and ping crosses into the box which imo makes us even more predictable than we are now.

Moyes wont be here next season I'm convinced of it.

He was brought in to get us safe last season and make sure our first season didnt end in relegation, he has done/doing that comfortably.

He is not the guy to take us where we want to be IMO, he will get the golden handshake in the summer, 'thanks and good luck'!
I hope so, but I can see a tangible achievable goal having been set by the owners for him to reach to secure his future, and top 10 seems to be a reasonable - very reasonable - mark to hit.

Itls all in his hands. With our better players back we should be getting toward a euro spot: 7th or at worst 8th.

There's no reasonable argument to suggest we should be finishing 7th or 8th after four successive relegation battles when we spent the 13th most of any team (in gross terms) in the summer.

I suspect you're being disingenuous here so you can set a narrative that Moyes has failed somehow when he inevitably fails to achieve that.
