No reason why not, but we defo should be getting 10th or 9th.

Anything less is just a denial of where we've been and the shortish hop needed with better players to secure top ten.

Because we have been in a relegation scrap for 4 years and it wasn't like we suddenly spent ourselves into being a great team in the summer, we merely spent about par for what everyone else did for a change.

I'm not sure why (actually I could have a guess) you're ignoring that, but we haven't had a while to build a team, nor have we outspent loads of teams, nor have we had a good team to begin with. 10th would be a pretty satisfactory outcome because I can't make a good argument why we *should* be finishing ahead of City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa, Newcastle, United, Spurs, Chelsea, Brentford, Brighton or even Palace or Bournemouth

48 point seasons in the last two are not 'relegation scrap' seasons.

Stop being dramatic.

48 points to 60 points is an easy enough leap if you've had spending on the squad. If he hasn't spent well enough then that's down to him.
