January Transfer Window 2026

In all honesty we shouldn't have hired Ancelotti as he was completely the wrong fit for us. We should have had a long term vision and employed a manager like Arteta who if I'm not mistaken we had talks with before hiring Ancelotti. I remember at the time it looked like we got the better end of the deal getting Ancelotti whilst Arsenal got Arteta but who's laughing now?
Arteta has spent billions that’s the difference. The horrible petulant idiot isn’t in the same league as ancelotti. Never will be.

Absolutely not the sort of right back we need. Whether we have Ndiaye or Dibling on the right, they both want to drift infield. We need a right back who can overlap and provide an attacking threat.

Ben White is basically a much better version of JOB, in that he's a converted centre back who's very good on the ball but he doesn't have the instincts to do the role as we would need him to.

In addition to that, he'd be on very big wages and he comes across as a right ted.

Again, we have no idea about what is and isn't being done. I'd rather not hear a thing until a new player signing is announced by the club. Shows that the club are doing things correctly.

I do agree that I’d prefer to see players sign before hearing about it over a protracted period of time however even if that was the case it’s not proof things ‘being done correctly’… indeed it can also suggest the opposite.

Notwithstanding who is coming back from injury/suspension/AFCON and given the obvious need for fullbacks on both sides and a centre forward, every day that passes without that being addressed is a failing by those responsible for recruitment at the club.
