Perhaps, to save you from stating the obvious (or maybe it was sarcasm?) was to say that there does not appear to be much urgency where I think there should be.

I didn’t mention fan approval of same.

Again, we have no idea about what is and isn't being done. I'd rather not hear a thing until a new player signing is announced by the club. Shows that the club are doing things correctly.

I am in the same boat as you in that not taking the League Cup seriously angered me. However, I would not say the season is over. If we can get a handful of players back we could mount a charge for the European places, especially considering that the table remains congested with only four point separating us in twelfth from Brentford in fifth. At full strength, we can give anyone in the league a game, we just need to get players back and improve our home form by not leaking as many goals at home.

….bottom line is, i just think he’s better than both and Welch has struggled for game time on loan. I watched Campbell quite a bit last season, he at least played SPL even if his form dropped off towards the end.

What we learned in the last week isn't only that we need about 6 or 7 new quality players. We also need to sell about 6 or 7 of our squad players because they aren't capable of stepping in and doing a decent job.

I'm still waiting for a proper overhaul of the squad. It's not something to fear its just what's needed.

I can honestly say that I have no faith whatsoever in it getting better

Lots of our core players are getting older and will need replaced soon as well. Tarkowski Gueye and probably no Grealish next year.

There's no reason to be optimistic until we can identify the right players in recruitment
