I just want some full backs. Kinnear said we would only dip into the January market if we needed something. Well we definitely need it.
I'd be interested to know how we decided that players like Barry, Beto and Sandro Rameriz had a chance in the EPL because I watched Barry and Sandro a few times in U21 tournaments just before they signed and I was shocked at how bad they looked (and I'd be amazed if Beto looked like a player in Italy). So it's not like they pass the eye test at a lower/different level and then fail to adjust to a higher level/new league. Someone like Russian Billy was clearly a really talented footballer who could look great and have great stats at a lower level so I could understand that type of signing. Barry, Beto and Sandro are just mystifying. Niasse is also the same. We've paid big big money for people with absolutely no talent. When I see that a club like Brentford with their modern data based scouting seems to be available to replace players like Watkins, Toney, Mbeumo and found another great striker with Igor Thiago, who's been terrific against us and basically all season, it makes me worried how outdated our scouting system must be... Cost the same as Barry.
They are owned by an analytics expert who knows exactly what he's doing, same as Brighton. We've struggled ever since the Premier League was formed, as it gave money to smaller clubs and stopped us buying all if their best players for a reasonable price. When I see that a club like Brentford with their modern data based scouting seems to be available to replace players like Watkins, Toney, Mbeumo and found another great striker with Igor Thiago, who's been terrific against us and basically all season, it makes me worried how outdated our scouting system must be... Barry was bought because he had a similar profile to Beto and both Adam and Irvine went to watch him on separate occasions.I'd be interested to know how we decided that players like Barry, Beto and Sandro Rameriz had a chance in the EPL because I watched Barry and Sandro a few times in U21 tournaments just before they signed and I was shocked at how bad they looked (and I'd be amazed if Beto looked like a player in Italy). It depends on your definition of need. It looks likely that we won't get relegated so we don't "need" a new right back. I mean, it's blatantly obvious to anyone who watches football that we do need a new right back and a striker, but in terms of desperation we will survive without them.I just want some full backs. Well we only have two senior CBs available right now so we are quite desperate! It depends on your definition of need. It looks likely that we won't get relegated so we don't "need" a new right back. I'm here for the rumours, at least it feels like we are doing something or might do something. We’re one of the most clickbaity teams you can link to a player. 95% of rumours are pure guff.
We may have to bring on 6 subs if it goes to ET. I’m not sure we should bemoaning having anyone who has played adult football on the bench, on this occasion.…little surprised Will Tamen played for U21 last night. Maybe a bit biased as I mentioned him pre-season as my young player to watch but I’d definitely have him on the bench ahead of Eli Campbell and Reece Welch, even if Campbell played a full SPL season for Ross County.

Man Utd are looking at David Moyes as their next permanent manager.I'm here for the rumours, at least it feels like we are doing something or might do something.
Give me a rumour any day of the week rather than a "we need a right back" post![]()
Fair points. I’ve never seen him play. Both need to go for their own careers anyway….bottom line is, i just think he’s better than both and Welch has struggled for game time on loan. I watched Campbell quite a bit last season, he at least played SPL even if his form dropped off towards the end.
