Israel arent launching an "attack on the Palestinian people".

If Israel wanted to do that then trust me Gaza would be flattened by Israeli weapons strikes.

They are retailiating against Hamas. Hamas base themselves in residential and commercial buildings surrounding themselves with civilians (the same way a criminal may hide behind a hostage).

Israel notifies in advance that they will be decimating a building -- allowing time for the general public (the Palestinian people you think theyre attacking) to leave first...

Yesterday they hit the 'metro' a vast network of tunnels like you may imagine from Mexico into USA or the Vietnamese had in the Vietnam War. Hamas used these tunnels initially for smuggling and then to sneak attack israelis and also to kidnap a soldier and hold him prisoner for a 5 years.


As for "attacking people" Hamas (and other groups including Islamic Jihad) have fired over 2000 rockets at Israeli non -military targets and killed civilians and children. 200+ of these rockets in fact exploded in Gaza itself and no doubt killed Palestinian civilians.

Yesterday there was a 5 year old boys funeral who had been killed by shrapnel from a hamas rocket -- his mother is still in hospital. Hamas also fired rockets at the funeral.

If there was no Iron Dome then i can guarantee you that these rocket strikes would have murdered thousands of Israelis...

Im no fan of Netanyahu but he has to do something to defend Israel against these terrorist strikes.

Hamas are commiting war crimes.




Hamas not only use residential buildings but also commercial. I imagine they have offices in that building under the guise of something else to monitor the foreign press or at least to hide in plain sight.

Good to see the warnings are continuing...very different to the Hamas attacks against civilians.

So does retailing against Hamas means having disregard for the lives of Palestinian civilians? Because that exactly what's happening. Since Monday at least 139 people, including 39 children have been killed and Israel hasn't always notified targets. The human cost of this war has been disproportionately against the Palestinian people if that's not an attacked against their existence then what is it?

Conscription and military training probably doesn't help either. Without excusing their actions, you can objectively appreciate where it may stem from.

However, you can't excuse how they've twisted and warped the view to allow them to be the aggressors.

TBF there are a relatively small number of politicians who are responsible for that, and it’s relatively recent behaviour.

I'm not sure how @Zatara or anyone with brains and a heart can justify Israel's attack on the Palestinian people as reasonable and measured. Netanyahu is a corrupted murderer that is creating all this commotion and killing so he can save himself from going to jail. It is a shame what has been happening to Palestinians for decades, they are prisoners in their own land

Didn't Trump move the U.S embassy to Jerusalem and wind up the a lot of the nearby states ?

Yet, most sources state that more civilians have died from Israeli actions since 2014 than Palestinian/Hamas combatants. Collateral damage is a euphemism.

It's basically how many civilians you're willing to kill compared to combatants.

It is always the same lines trotted out:

“Hamas had weapons hidden there.”

“Israel has a right to defend itself.”
That line might be the worst one, because it insuates that they are the attacked party, which is beyond ridiculous. Israel is a rich nation with one of the strongest military’s on the planet, they are throttling a territory where the people have no army, no navy, no tanks, 90% of the water is undrinkable, they even restrict the electricity going in there. The Palestinians are a subjugated people and under international law would be justified in attacking an occupying state.

It is the equivalent of a much bigger, much stronger person punching you and then putting his foot on your throat, and only then do you punch out at his leg, then someone says that you are out of order lashing out at the person with his foot on your throat, and it’s only fair now that he attacks you and finishes the job.

Regarding the "Hamas were there actually" Line

The media is taking that at face value, it's ridiculous, especially regarding the bombing of the Al-Jazeera building

could you imagine what would happen if the Russians bombed journalists in Ukraine but said " dont worry, the Azov battalion were there". the media would immediately be on them for lying, but when the IDF claims that "no really, Hamas are literrraly everywhere so it's okay" they just go along with it

To be fair to Biden, he has spent his whole political life supporting Israel.
