Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

Israel technically have a point in saying they have a right to defend themselves. The problem is that they're defending themselves from a problem that exists soley because of what the atrocities they did in the first place.

Are Hamas dreadful? Yes. Firing hundreds of rockets at Israel knowing it'd result in thousands of deaths of your own people just to escalate a situation for PR is despicable.

Are the Israeli government dreadful? Yes, even more so, obviously - complete lack of restraint over many years, no willingness to compromise and settle the situation, only to settle more land.

But the party involved in this I'm most disappointed with are the Israeli people. Where are the protests against their government to show restraint? They're complicit in the very thing the state of Israel was formed off the back of in Germany. Silently sitting by whilst their government annexes and murders.

The only innocent party in this is the Palestinian people, who are being used as pawns by their own leaders and systematically ignored, oppressed and/or murdered by others, including other countries around the world.

Israel should be stopped. The land distribution should be enforced on them, essentially the pre-1967 borders. Israel has a right to exist; it doesn't have a right to be a parasitic, murdering, annexing leech.

There is a broad issue on the land ownership.

In this 'current' situation and flashpoint the land under dispute is owned by an Israeli group.

The Israeli's have the legal contracts stating that they own the land.

The Palestinians who claim to own the land have nothing. Their claim is based upon their relatives telling them they own the land -- no documents, zero evidence.

The Palestinians using the land previously paid rent. Lawyers told them to stop paying rent and claim the land for themselves. Hence the legal case which people believe is the 'flashpoint'...it isnt.

if they paid rent then they could legally stay as per the ownership deeds the Israeli's are holding.

The block housed media outlets as well as people's own homes. Are they not civilians?

Lets say for arguments sake that there was a Hamas military intelligence headquarters in that building.

What do the Israeli's do?

In all fairness there have been protests within Israel:

Not seen much coverage of it though.
Whether that’s because this is an isolated, small scale protest or another reason I genuinely don’t know.

What do the Israeli's do?
You'd imagine the various media outlets that building contained would've noticed - being investigative journalists and all.

Do the roads around hospitals also house Hamas military because the IDF have been systematically blowing them up. As an unrelated consequence it makes it difficult for ambulances to operate.

There isn't. They are UN mandated illegal settlements since occupation in 1967.

In the early 80s the Palestinian residents on this particular land signed an agreement confirming that the Israeli's owned the land.

20 years later the Israeli's sold the land to a Jewish American group. They allowed the residents to stay if they paid rent.

They refused and treated the land as their own...building on it etc without permission.

The court has seen:

1: Evidence of Israeli ownership (deeds of purchase/sale etc)

2: Written evidence of the Palestinians legally confirming the Israeli ownership.

3: Ascertained that the land has been built on without the permission of the owners.

4: Evidence of Palestinians using the land to generate undeclared rental income.

5: Proof that in many cases the people who signed that the land belonged to the Israeli's in early 80s were relatives of the Palestinians claiming the land as their own.

6: There is zero/none/nada/nilch/nieto evidence provided by the Palestinians that the land belongs to them. Not one iota.

Im not sure how much clearer it can be that the land is legally the Israeli groups.

Extraordinary comments yesterday from Fatah's Jibril Rajoub. He was lamenting the fact that no Arab leaders have contacted PA President Mahmoud Abbas amid the escalation in the Gaza Strip and West Bank:

“This is an Islamic-Christian battle that defends your dignity… the Palestinian people are in the first line of defence for your dignity, your oil and your security.”

Rajoub is often touted as a successor to 85 year old Abbas, currently in the 16th year of his 4 year term as president. Rajoub was the architect of the now defunct agreement with Hamas to co-operate in the holding of peaceful elections and the formation of a unity government whatever the result. He was also vehemently opposed to Abbas' disastrous decision to cancel the elections.

Now Fatah find themselves humiliated by Hamas over Jerusalem - taunted as cowards and worse - and under pressure from the US amongst others to keep a lid on the simmering tensions in the West Bank. Abbas received a phone call from Joe Biden yesterday presumably asking him to just that, otherwise there doesn't seem much point to the call as he has zero influence on the Hamas leadership. That leaves Fatah desperately trying to stay relevant and trying to pull off the tricky task of talking tough to Israel in public, but not tough enough to further inflame the situation in the West Bank.

Palestinians also have legally owned lands in Haifa, Jerusalem and Hebron which they have deeds and keys to their houses today that were forced to flee when Israel was created.

These documents site back to the Ottoman Empire and yet Israeli courts do not want recognise them and have dismissed motions for Israel to hand back those lands.

In essence it’s an apartheid system where Jewish claims on land no matter how dubious is granted and cast iron claims made by Palestinians are rejected.

you seem to have a very slanted and bias view of this Zat.

You are clinging to this desperately, it’s the last piece of “justification “ you have for this genocide.
weak

Sigh...

Once again:

The Palestinians in this case have signed that the land belongs to the Israeli's.

The Israeli's have evidence. The Palestinians do not.

Its not mastermind.

You left out the bits about Israel illegally annexing that land, and passing a law which is clearly and intentionally discriminatory.
