I had an interesting chat with an Israeli taxi driver a few years back when I was in Tel Aviv on business. He asked me where I was from and then went off on a rant about Muslims - calling them dogs who must be killed. He then stopped, paused and corrected himself and then said dogs can be trained and can be useful whilst the Muslim cannot and therefore as a wild animal must be hunted and killed.

I was shocked that

a/ A jew could talk openly about genocide

b/ How one race views another as sub-human animals.

I don’t hold out too many hopes for peace with those kind of views floating around.

Jews have been persecuted for centuries and this eventually cultivated the horror that was the genocide. Rightly or wrongly, this'll have had an adverse effect.

A child who has been bullied is twice as likely to be a bully themselves, with many psychologists relating it to defence mechanism; trauma is another big factor.

Has this seeped into the wider Israeli psyche due to the traumas they have faced? I'm not excusing their behaviour, far from it, but trying to understand it.

The views you talk about could quite easily have been said during the genocide or the pogroms, which makes it even more horrific - they should know better.

Not of the same building, but this is footage of a different building being attacked... a bank linked to Hamas. The ground-level footage does show that the paths and streets around the targeted building are deserted. The group of men watching know what's coming. So, this footage does suggest that advanced warning was given. Hopefully, no civilians were in there.

It seems it did contain residential flats so could/should be classified as a war crime.

To put it bluntly, they wont care care one iota about yourself and others calling it a war crime as, to put it bluntly, they have repeatedly shown to breach the rules.

The mentality of Israel and the IDF is that they are fighting for their survival - from extermination - so they will do whatever it takes to maintain their position.

They're bombing buildings that include international press; they're using M109 self-propelled artillery to bombard urban areas.

Soz mate, I think you misunderstood. I'm not suggesting it, I'm saying it outright. You have, on numerous occasions, rejoiced in the murder of defenceless black, and now arabic, people. Your stance on things does not surprise me.

Conscription and military training probably doesn't help either. Without excusing their actions, you can objectively appreciate where it may stem from.

However, you can't excuse how they've twisted and warped the view to allow them to be the aggressors.
