This is a positive move. Silva showing he’s no pushover. Let’s just hope we can get those 4 moved on. Another 5 or 6 would be a bonus.

I'd be quite happy to see all 4 of those players move on but I don't agree with them being outcast to the U23s. They may not be our first choice players any more but they were bought by previous managers for a reason, they have served their time in the first team and they deserve their place there even if they're not in the current managers future plans. They should be allowed to remain with the first team training until they are sold or loaned out.

Even if their presence is toxic and detrimental?

Even if they cause aggro in the squad leading to poor performances?

That would be 26 or 25 if we can shift Bolasie. My personal view would be that if we can't sell I would rather keep. Unconvinced about Sandro or Lookman (on the right).

A 36 year old bang average CB who has no leadership qualities and has form for downing tools under previous managers...crack on if that's the standard you want to be seeing in our defence. It's not my idea of progress like.

Genuinely not to argue, we know Ferguson was a terribly bad influence on younger players back then but do you have inside factual knowledge of Jags doing to same thing? I just don’t understand why every manager would continue to then make him the key man in the squad. That doesn’t make sense.

Nothing wrong with this. Regardless of what we as fans think of individual players a manager and his coaching staff can maybe only work effectively on a limited number of players. If a players got no future at the club then why let them take up that resource?

I don't think Bolasie has a bad attitude - he's just a bad footballer. Same with Keane.

Don't get me wrong, they need to go as soon as possible, all three of them, but there's going to be an order of priority. Unfortunately I think we'll be stuck with Keane and Schneiderlin another year perhaps.

Besic to Boro and try to get Gibson in as part of the deal, we really do need more central defenders even for back up.

basically this is something that needed doing a couple of seasons ago, it shows Silva is in control and he knows what he is doing team wise.

From day 1 he has looked at the squad and seen who won't cut it, I suspect more coming in if these go and a couple more out

Feel bad for Vlasic I know he looked pretty jarg in pre season games but still think he can turn into a player, Hopefully we loan instead of sell, As for the other 3 good stuff Silva/Brands this is the stuff we need right now.

Vlasic was the new Besic for me. A young european player with glimpses of brilliant potential that we got in on early. Really hoped both would work out and be outstanding blues one day. I'm surprised that Besic looks to have more future here than Vlasic...

Hate giving up on good young talent like Vlasic or Lookman, hope the sell prices are great, if not, loan them.

I really do not see the point in excluding and ostracizing people - what good does it achieve. Now if there had been incidents, that is different, but it seems rather petty. They are also surely useful as training opponents at the least?

What the hell is the job for a captain on the field besides throwing the coins?

Really cannot understand the "replace the captain" madness. Do the post of captain that important that he must be able to take on the field every game? I remember Garry Monk's last few seasons at the swans when he clearly is not playing for a slew of circumstances despite nominally captain.

we haven't got time at the moment for a player to turn into a good player, the way our squad is we need good players now
