Is anyone else worried

all ive seen on social media the last few weeks is evertonians skiting about have much money we have, how much money we have spent and how we have bossed the transfer window....this is the last thing i want to hear when in all likelyhood we will finish no better than 7th again. no shame in that as all 6 teams above us actually know how to spend real money and been doing it longer.

in reality all we have done is sold our one and only world class player and spent the lukaku money on averageness or maybe consolidation is a better way to put it. ive been impressed with the bussiness we have done and yes our team is greater in depth of quality and youthfulness......and rooney, which is great. but to be honest our squad as it stands is no better than last year or the years before.

yes we bloody well need a top striker. more importantly if we want to be competitive in europa and push for top 6 this season we need a new CB as well and they need to be statement signings

might also add im not worried but rather excited to see this great club and its characters doing what they do best.

boa noite

An in return the bedwetters accuse the others of not caring.

What mistakes are being made exactly?

And why was Thursday "a huge alarm bell"?

Oh dear

I've not seen any evidence of us having a lot of money

A lot of fans are very blinded or stupid to believe we do. We have spent a lot but sales are more. We have simply spent what we have sold. Huddersfield have actually spent more than us. Very nieve some of our fans

Hmm, this persona of yours is taking a bit of a nasty turn mate. If you REALLY want to be noticed by internet randoms, you need to make sure you don't get banned. Calling Everton fans stupid probs ain't going to help that cause.

Just trying to help, I really hope you find what it is you are looking for.

Reported him for his spelling of naive.

Which is Evian spelled backwards. Make of that what you will.

Although we've had to deal with the loss of Lukaku and the impending loss of Barkley the squad did need an overhaul. Thats in effect what has happened. In my opinion the depth and quality has improved.
However I do agree that you'd still look at it and think whether or not we've got the capability to make inroads into the top 6 is viable.
So yes, I'm 'worried' we won't do that unless, at the very least, we get a 'proper' centre forward and a centre back to partner Keane.
Throw in a pacy winger and a cover left back, and I'll no longer be 'worried'.

But seriously, everyone and their mother knows we need a striker. We've clearly kicked the tires on quite a few players, I gotta believe it's going happen.
As I've mentioned earlier, people seem to have npw become carried away with the fact we've finalised a number of deals early in the window.

As a result, many fans now expect instant results when in fact there's over a month of the window left and two weeks before the season begins.

We've lost the mammoth Rom, however we've brought in Sandro and like yourself I'm confident we are currently exploring new avenues.

The jig-saw is not yet complete but I am much more confident with our current squad than I was last year, so all in all I'm less worried than ever.

The game on Thurs need to be taken in context, it was a Europa League game but essentially it was pre season game, we shouldn't really draw any conclusions.

He's said Rooney is going to play farther up the pitch, as is Sigurdsson.

So actually, that's 9 players for probably 5 spots, and really probably 7-8 as McCarthy will likely be sold and Barry might go, too. Either way, that's not odd at all.
Sorry, 'five spots'?

it's not one game. Lukaku was good business. Everyone in football knew he was going so why has he not been replaced? As it stands EFC have gone backwards and Sigurdsson wont change that.

I think our squad is stronger but yes i totally agree with you. We are 3/4 starting players short if moving into top 6. Remwmber we have thursday night football now. Maybe we can get them in before window shuts. If not its 7th place again. Not dome and gloom but im not blowing my load like some are on here on over our signings as i realise we have sold lukaku and will sell barkley. 2 players who oveeall have done well for us.

What I saw was an ineffective attack that struggled to cross the half way line and a team that didn't know each other.
Weren't the other team in pre season as well yet seemed well oganised?
We need a hold up target.
The other team had already begun their league campaign mate.
