We need a centre forward, although lots has been made of us losing our top scorer - less made of that fact that Man Utd have too, Chelsea will, Liverpool probably will and Arsenal possibly will be too. City's top scorer likely to be on the bench.

Man Utd have signed Lukaku, who scored more than any United forward. They will be a lot stronger this season for it.

Personally I'd take a punt on Joshua King before Benteke. But bottom line we need another centre forward asap!

My concern is the the board, koeman every man and his dog knew Lukaku was leaving and we have not replaced him, with a proven forward.

I know people are going to say Sandro... he has not proven yet, plus he is the only one.

Surely they would have lined someone up?

Even if Giroud and Sigurdsson come here, I'm pinning my hopes on Sandro to make us a threat upfront.

Lukaku gone and Barkley going - there is no one we have or would have in the attacking third that has any sort of pace to trouble teams. Set pieces we'll be catered well for. Getting behind teams - especially away from home and especially against the top teams - will be nigh on impossible.

He was racing in behind them yeah...when he got a pass worthy of the name.

The pose I'll always associate with Lukaku while he was here is him shoulder to shoulder with the defensive line with his hand pointed in front signalling where he wanted the pass....then not getting it.

He'll be ok at United with Mata and Carrick and Herrera etc.

Yesterday highlighted the absolute dire need of a centre forward. Koeman must be pulling his hair out. All of preseason gone and we still haven't replaced Lukaku.
