You can't keep blaming right-wing newspapers, or indeed, any newspaper from a bygone era, for directly affecting public opinion in the modern world.

Traditional news sources are becoming less relevant by the day... give it a few more years, and traditional newspapers, or "Mainstream" sources, such as the DM, or the Scum, are gone...

It's now social media, and multiple sources. Read multiple sources and make your own judgement...

I can tell you one group of people, that are massively swayed by traditional newspapers, the elderly.

The Mail in particular is read by them. Hence, why it does it`s best to non stop scare the living daylights out of them, with it`s borderline far right, articles of the collapse of the country, due to immigration, foreign interference, Covid, anything slightly left wing and anything else it can find to keep them terrified.

I think that is indiicative of the forum itself, and life in general.

Society in general is less tolerant than it used to be, or perhaps more accurately - the intolerant have a much louder voice than they used to.

Most on the left know it has it's origins in the African American community here. No one uses the term as a badge of honor.
No one on the right understands what it means or it's history and use it in a pejorative sense to directly replace the term 'PC'.
The fact that it's even used as a pejorative term is an argument for CRT.
