Social media has created a new generation of left wing where if you dont believe in x,y,z then you're not "woke" enough and thus a swivel eyed right winger. Its sad to see whats happened to the Left - I know many traditional lefties/socialists who've been attacked on social media by these deranged types.

What you're seeing is a society forming of ostriches.

Do you see much evidence of this? I am aware it happens, and hear of some of the more extreme examples in the news, but is it really that widespread?

There was one example in Australia last week where one person posted on a forum (not too disimilar to this one) that a cartoon character appeared to have a millionaire lifestyle and was not representative of real life. One person, making one comment. Of course this hits the news and the sensational headline generates thousands of clickbait angry comments about "wokeness" and toughen up it's only a cartoon etc.

So that is why I ask how widespread you think it is, because one comment by one "woke" person generated several thousand anti-woke outrage responses, which was not really proportionate

I use no one else‘s scripts. You may not like nor agree with anything I write but at least it’s my own…..

Are they, though? I mean you seem to hate everything that your sort are told to hate, and use much the same words in which to express it.

As an example, imagine an article appears in the Mail over the next few days attacking Labour for something. You'll be here repeating it within hours at most.

And the intolerant, far-left use that opportunity to be loud... and to bully, insult, abuse and intimidate anyone who disagrees.

It kind of works... publicly, at least. They silence most public support, then think they have won... Then, the mainstream voter gets to vote in private. 80 seat majority, I think it was...

Traditional news sources are becoming less relevant by the day... give it a few more years, and traditional newspapers, or "Mainstream" sources, such as the DM, or the Scum, are gone...

It's now social media, and multiple sources. Read multiple sources and make your own judgement...

Many on the left use that term as a badge of honour based on its original meaning before social media / the new age of lefties soured it with what it now represents.
