A good team will always beat a group of individuals. Look at the barcodes. They outbid us by £7M for Owen. Loads of big, in form names but they look like a chumpionship team now. They must be ****tin’ their pants. We have made good progress every year. If we look back at this year with the start we had would any of us have thought we would be here? I saw quotes like mid table mediocrity early on. NO team has hammered us this year NO ONE. You saw Paul Hart’s reaction at the end of the match. They wrote off that game. We all have off days. We’ve just come of a great run. Pity we didn’t get a result. But we still are in the hunt for 4th.

I'm honestly not that arsed about Spurs as i used to be.

Until Hughes can build a team with a balance and not just a team of individuals then maybe i'll be arsed.

Reckon you mean both City and Spurs?

TBH, I think they'll both be better next season. I'm confident that Hughes will be sacked from City, so they'll be starting afresh. And ugly face Redknapp will no doubt get funds to build the latest version of Spurs. I do hate Redknapp, but if given backing by a board, I do think he's got ability to turn out a good unit.

I'm guessing Arsenal, City, Spurs, Villa, Everton and A. N. Other will form a mini-league stretching from 3rd to 8th place.

And where will Utd, Chelski and the Rs be?

Yer mate.

We're going down next year. Arteta, Cahill & Jagielka gone in the summer to fund Destination Kirkby. Yakubu will leave in the transfer window siting a lack of ambition from the club - we will get Marcus Bent in on a loan.

United will use the instability to buy Rodwell and Baxter will go to Newcastle, recently resurgent under their owner Steve Jobs. Ghost will be facepainted up in black and white for the sky cameras as they crush us 5-0. Albert chipping Carlo Nash for number five.

Osman will be boss though.

I would love it, just love it if this happened.

Cal is about right really. If we can qualify for Europe again we'll be in a good position for next season. Our squad is excellent with everyone fit, better than most of the league. We only need one good midfielder and a load of squad players. Spurs are still the main threat to us I reckon. Hopefully someone will nick Ashley Young from Villa and that'll be them done for a few years. City will probably be in the title race, Arsenal will be excellent by then. It'll be exciting competing with them and that's all I want us to do.

ffs mate, i've just thought realistic thoughts here.

Don't let the bastards drag you down good buddy.

Your original post was sweet as a nut and I fully agree with you.

Yak will be like a new signing, Saha will be bedded in, if vaughan stops having the law of luck shiit on him he will be a force to be reckoned with, Rodwell and Gosling up to speed and backed by top flight experience and exposure, etc etc etc. The list goes on.

Top thinking Cal.
