I'm already looking forward to next season.

Cal

Player Valuation: £40m
Europe on the horizon again, i'm confident of at least 6th place and anything above will be a massive bonus.

But next season, i'm already looking forward to it. Yakubu and Arteta will be back in September, hopefully we will have had a good enough run to make sure we ease them slightly. But surely we cannot have the same bad luck with injuries as we had this season?

Another factor is letting Vaughan, Fellaini, Cahill, Saha and co have a pre season under their belt. It will be good to see Fellaini and Cahill have a proper pre season, assuming nothing goes wrong.

I'm confident, although i'm not expecting much in the summer in terms of funds, that Moyes can work some magic. I just really hope he cements that 6th position and then puts some more concentration into bringing in players early this time. If we're able to bring in maybe 2 players in that adds up to around the 10 million mark aswell as Moyes working his magic and bringing in a couple of frees and a few loanees, then we'll be able to compete again in the top 6.

I admire your postivity, i really do. But sadly every other team will out spend us and we cant expect City and Spurs to under perform every season. Unless we get some serious cash to spend, next season will be a long hard battle.

ffs mate, i've just thought realistic thoughts here.

agreed, all our signings were rushed in once the season had started, a pre-season under their belts and abit of team bonding in the summer should be great for them, whilst we get people like Yakubu, Arteta, Vaughan back close to training.

I just hope we get the players we need in early so that we can find a blend and get those players gelled into the team. In the last two seasons we haven’t done that and it’s took us a while to get going and we have suffered because of it, we are playing catch up for most of the season.

We know we haven’t got a lot of money so I hope Moyes keeps it realistic, don’t blow all our budget on someone like Moutinho. Maybe 8-10 million on one good, proven player but nothing mad like 18-20 million. There are cheaper players around who can do similar jobs.

Most of all I just hope we get Mikel back as soon as possible, he’s key to everything. If he’s in the middle and confident we can beat any team. The Yak would be a bonus aswell.

Agreed.

Manny for 6 million and a 4-5 loans and frees. I'd be happy.

But surely we should expect more? Surely Kenwrong promised us The Mout last season and we are still waiting. Yet again they want us to spend our money early, but we will still be waiting up 12.00 deadline day...........

We progress every year. So even if a lot of teams outspend us, we will still be there competing with them.

City and Spurs have trebled our spend for the last few seasons. Its only by utter crap management and buying wrong players that they are below us.

We have a better 11 than nearly all the teams below us. I would fancy us against anybody in the league with our best 11, we have nobody to fear. But i just hope we can maintain the small progress we have made with regards to squad improvement.

Onwards and upwards. But I am worried about Spurs and maybe City next year. Spurs have got a scary squad now, and City will flex their muscles.

I'm honestly not that arsed about Spurs as i used to be.

Until Hughes can build a team with a balance and not just a team of individuals then maybe i'll be arsed.

As long as we sell Lescott to City for £13m and buy Sean Davis, David Nugent, Robert Earnshaw, Matthew Taylor and Joe-Max Moore i'll be happy...
