2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

The irony here is that there's a world where selling a player for £50m and buying those two with the proceeds would actually turn out to be good business. Just not yet and not in the situation we find ourselves in (without getting into the debate about the detail of it)

We have a manager who went 5 years at West Ham, spending half a billion without starting a teenager though.

Putting aside the conversation about whether or not we need to sell (I don't think we do)

It's not a great sign to have one of our best players refusing contracts and allegedly feeling that the clubs ambitions don't match his own.

Supposed to be start of a new era but everything's feeling very Kenwright.

2 goals and 1 assist since AFCON and people are absolutely losing it over rumours he wants out.

Like the lad, best dribbler we've had in years but lets not act like this is someone that couldn't be replaced. He's been poor for 2/3 months in his preferred position.

Would i like him to stay, yeah, would i be fuming if he wants out, no.

It's just a figure to demonstrate everyone has a price.

We'd do well to remember though that this clubs recruitment has been very poor. You're saying you'd take £50m for him - I've little confidence in our ability to replace Ndiaye at £50m. We spent more than that on Dibling+Aznou.

The people we have in place put great emphasis on PL experience and it's a market where Omari Hutchinson goes for around £40m. Johnson went to Palace for £35m an wasn't it £20m+ "agreed" with Palace for Dwight McNeil?
It's not exactly what I'd do, but the club have already demonstrated they could replace Ndiaye with someone cheaper given they did exactly that last summer with grealish and booted Ndiaye out his favoured position
