Everyone has a price - it was a point I made a fair bit last summer with Branthwaite. I thought we'd sell him as a homegrown/PSR bonus to allow a bigger rebuild.

The notion we need to sell this summer though is silly - last summer was the first in 5+ years we had an actual net spend.

The club can spend this summer again, without needing to sell.

What he is and what you get are 2 different things. 6 goals 2of which were pens and 3 assists is not a great bargaining tool.

I find it hard to reconcile that the only player we have that can get the supporters up on their feet is apparently expendable for many of our fans, whilst at the same time, many of those same fans, still push the "be careful what you wish for" line with the arguments for replacing Moyes.

What I wish for is players like Ndiaye to stay at Everton and safety first managers like Moyes to go somewhere else.

Tough though when he was almost our only attacking threat for 2nd half of season, and coming off AFCON also. At least when Grealish was playing, we could mix it up a touch, once he was injured, Ndiaye was expected to perform miracles on his own, as McNeill wasn’t gonna offer anything. Disappointing end to his season, no doubt about it, but Moyes had no plan B, if Ndiaye was off it. He always had a full back who was petrified to cross the halfway line and offer any overlap to support. Moyes also has him playing with the handbrake on, given the level of defensive duty he chips in with too. He’s the only player in our entire squad who can provide genuine off your seat entertainment, and we need to build around him, not flog him.

I want to keep him ideally. Just not sure how realistic it is.

If we sell, I think we can get a massive fee. 50m is not enough, it's less than Forest got for Elanga. I'd be asking for 70m and hoping to get 60m plus.
